  • At Simms, sun protection is a critical component of our sportswear offering.  Through a combination of fabric construction, design and finish, we offer a wide range of clothing that features a minimum UPF of 30 (very good) up to UPF of 50 (excellent).  UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed.  A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through.  This means the fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure significantly.  All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.

best fishing pants ever Review by hartattac
wanted pants to wear under my chest waders that were lightweight for summer use. Needed pants that facilitated wader removal after a day on the stream. This was important to me as I fish 5 days a week. These pants exceeded my expectations. The waders seem to slid off and they are lightweight and cool when wading. After using pants for a week. I ordered another pair. These are the only pants I will use in the summer.

bottom line after wearing northface, columbia, patagonia, howler bros, exofficioand other less note worthy quickdry packable pants these are my #1 go to pants period.

Great Tech Review by ScottM
Excellent pants, slimmer fit than I was used to but I can see the advantages. These pants dry quickly no matter the temp or humidity. Useful pockets. Very comfortable and breathable. They will make all of my fishing trips.

Best Fishing Pants I've ever owned Review by Matt
I rarely take the time to write reviews so obviously I feel pretty strongly about this product. When I saw that Simms was making a Slim Fit line of clothing I was pretty excited to have some clothing options that wouldn't act as a rudimentary sail every time the wind blew. For guys with a slimmer build these pants fit perfectly. No more getting snagged on everything within 4 feet. I've been wearing these pants at least a few days a week and usually more for the past 5 months. From all over Chilean Patagonia to dorado fishing in the jungle of Bolivia (both of which included a lot of hiking and bushwhacking) I've used these pants for all my wet wading and a lot of hiking as well. They dry quickly, don't stretch a ridiculous amount when wet, and are surprisingly durable for how light they are. I have yet to put a single rip in them and after somewhere around 100 days of use they have yet to show much wear. Simms really did a great job with these pants and I'd recommend them to anyone.

This is the first review I have ever took the time to write. These pants are that great! Tried them on right away, and so smooth and comfortable. They look stylish too.
