Overall Used this pack on a recent trip to Christmas Island. Everything was dry as long as I kept it closed with zippers on top. When I waded chest deep I used it as a chest pack with great results. Only issue was when I was this deep one of my water bottles floated away. This could be fixed by me with some cord.(Posted on 11/12/12)

Overall I ordered the pack through a local fly shop so the first time I held one was after I owned it. The materials used for the waist belt are pretty poor quality and are constantly coming loose during wear. The pack is pretty water resistent so in that respect it is adequate. My feeling is the pack is way overpriced for the quality. I sure miss the old days when Simms stuff was made in the US. If you are going to charge upwards of $100 for a pack at leat make the Chineese use good materials.(Posted on 8/9/12)

Overall Bought one of these for my trip to belize, and I'm glad I did we ran thru several storms and the bag got soaked, everything inside was high and dry. Love the plier holster pocket on top now I don't have to carry a sheath. I don't think theres a better flats pack out there. Keep on trucking' Simms you rock !(Posted on 7/16/12)
