Quality Manager

The Simms organization is growing and we’re looking to fill the Quality Manager position. This is a full-time, in-house role based in Bozeman, Montana.

In this role, you must be ready to manage the entire worldwide quality process to drive product quality and reliability to new levels.

The Quality Manager works closely with the Product, Operations and Production teams to help create, build and deliver world class quality products.

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Builds systems and processes to reduce or eliminate defects
  • Develops all quality inspection criteria from BOMs, Specs and Tech packs
  • Reviews all inspection results and recommends appropriate actions
  • Improves quality systems and processes to insure a high level of quality
  • Manages any major quality issues and communicates resolutions across departments
  • Provides insightful summarized feedback on quality from numerous sources
  • Manages field testing and is accountable to drive the testing function to meet goals, objectives & timing in the corporate calendar 
  • Owns Simms Quality Manual

Pro Services Supervisor

The Simms organization is growing and we’re looking to fill the Pro Services Supervisor position. This is a full-time, in-house position based in Bozeman, Montana.In this role, the supervisor will work to create superior customer experiences by providing problem-solving resources, guidance and leading by example, and helping the team achieve the same objective.  

The supervisor will work with the Sales team to develop an annual calendar of events targeting promotional opportunities, as well as providing assistance with forecasting where necessary, and ensuring our inventory position is aligned to meet sales objectives.

The role will provide leadership, management, and accountability for the Pro Services team members. The role will be a working supervisory position focusing on process improvement, professional development of the team, assisting in consultative sales of Simms products to our end users as well as ensuring win-win solutions when challenging situations arise. 

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Establishes a voice for the team that exemplifies the standard for exceptional service and support of the angling community
  • Coordinates sales initiatives to achieve minimum growth of 15% in the Guide Channel and 25% in the direct to consumer channel by being a contributing member of the team receiving and processing inbound orders.
  • Efficient scheduling of the team and ensuring proper load balancing during periods of high-volume inbound phone and email traffic
  • Provide front-line customer support and service
  • Facilitate quarterly reviews of CS team members as well as on the job coaching and providing professional feedback

Pro Services Customer Service Representative

The Simms organization is growing and we’re looking to fill the Pro Services Customer Service Representative (CSR) position. This is a full-time, in-house position based in Bozeman, Montana.

In this role, the Pro Services CSR will provide superior customer experiences with our professional guides, dealers and consumers at every touch point, creating brand loyalty through expert-level product recommendations, advice and guidance on all things Simms – this is the ‘go to’ for finding solutions for any and all situations that may occur, with a win-win solution as the ultimate goal.

This role will work with all types of Simms customers, ranging from Guides to consumers and dealers, handling all inbound order processing, product recommendation and post-sale activities, such as product returns and warranty needs.

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Efficiently handles order fulfillment through all three channels in a timely manner with the highest level of accuracy
  • Able to provide expert-level product knowledge to a variety of anglers, regardless of experience levels, and sell them into the right product based on their personal needs and goals and recommend appropriate care and maintenance
  • Effectively balances a variable workload, shifting when necessary to meet the demands of the Department and company
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism while on the phone or communicating via email
  • Diligently utilizes and understands Simms’ inventory management system as well as individual channel ordering sites and associated features
  • Looks for opportunities to improve overall customer experience by identifying and contributing to  process improvements

Successful candidates should possess:

  • Strong customer service experience, preferably in the outdoor industry via retail or in-house sales/service
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to problem solve and actively listen with a focus on win-win solutions
  • Capacity to task switch quickly and efficiently, balancing a large inbound phone/email workload
  • Technical aptitude with inventory management systems, Excel and other programs used to track, manage and process orders, product returns and inventory assessment
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand the full product line, fabric technologies and expertly explain and recommend Simms products to a variety of anglers and experience levels
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to jump in and help wherever necessary
