- Product Care
Toray® Wader Care:
Toray® waders are breathable though not as breathable as GORE-TEX®. They do not have the same properties as GORE-TEX® and therefore finding pinholes will not be possible using the alcohol test. Care for Simms wader with Toray® technology them as you would a GORE-TEX® wader. Make sure to dry them out after use and do not wear jeans, and never use a dryer to dry them.
We are not able to replace the feet on Toray® waders. We are only able to put custom feet on GORE-TEX® waders.
Washing - Use a front load machine or hand wash. Use cold water and normal detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you have washed the waders make sure you dry them properly start by drying the inside first. Never put your waders in the dryer, the heat will adversely affect the seam tape on your waders and will void your warranty.
Toray® fabric technology was developed specifically for fishing waders. The QuadraLam™ fabric featured in the Freestone® and Blackfoot™ waders is a heavy-duty engineered fabric with a microporous waterproof coating that utilizes 2-layer coated fabric, a single membrane layer and a tricot backer to offer improved durability.
- So far so good Review by Landan
OverallHad trouble deciding which size to order, so after a phone call, I was directed towards size M because of the waist size. Mind you, I'm 6'2" (33-34" inseam), and the length on these is just about right. Kneeling down, they get a little tight in the knee, but since they sit so high on your waist, being able to pull them down will help in those tight situations. Otherwise, another great product from Simms

- Enjoyeable but... Review by Desmofrankie
OverallNeeded new waders so I figured out wait high would be the way and I'd get a pair of Simms because I'm over with waders wearing out to quickly.
I got these in June (last year) and immediately loved the comfort and liberty it provides.
After 3 month of full time fishing they started doing the exact same thing as other brands do: leaking on the inside of the lower leg due to the material rubing one leg against the other at that spot.
Well, a bit disapointed in the end.

- Flexible Comfort Review by Steve
OverallI just spent a weekend fishing native brook streams in north central PA. In these streams you can go from ankle deep to waist deep in a big hurry. It was comforting to know I was covered and did not have to worry about where the water was on the hip waders.
The waders are very comfortable, feel like wearing light pants, which was nice on some very warm afternoons. Adjustable velcro belt is great and gives some flexibility to add a little air flow if you need it.

- Ok but... Review by Mike
OverallI chose the Freestone Pant because I wanted an entry to waist high waders for the warm summer days. I've fished G3's for years but decided before buying the G3 waist high boots I would try these to see if I liked fishing in them. In short, I love fishing in waist high boots because they are absolutely cooler. However, with these Freestones being made with Toray and not Gortex, I noticed a big difference in breathability. The product would be better if it was Gortex and worth a few extra coins. If there were a mid level Gortex pant I would have gone that route.
