Men's Wading Boot Size Chart
To allow proper room for the neoprene stockingfoot, find your regular shoe size in the right-hand columns and order the corresponding Simms Boot in the first column. - Product Care
Guide Boot Care:
For proper cleaning of your footwear to descrease the likelihood of spreading Aquatic Invasive Species, please reference our CleanStream™ page.
Guide boots are made water-repellent full grain Nubuck leather. They require little maintenance but should be cleaned and dried.
If using in saltwater always clean and rinse to prevent corrosion.
Use a brush to remove dust and dirt. Choose an old vegetable brush or toothbrush. For maximum thoroughness, remove laces prior to cleaning. Use specialized boot cleaner, saddle soap or maybe a mild dishwashing soap with luke-warm water.
Do not use bar soap or detergents.
Do not place wet boots close to a heat source (fireplace, campfire, wood stove, radiator, heater, sunny windowsill) as this can weaken adhesives and cause materials to become brittle or shrink.
Dry using natural methods (air dry) and try to keep them out of the sun for long periods of time. Boots dry faster when positioned upside-down. If desired, stuff a sheet or two of newspaper into each boot to absorb moisture. Change the paper each hour.
If you see any mold on your boots, brush in a mixture of 80% water and 20% vinegar.
Over time the use of leather conditioners may provide increased water repellency and can prevent cracking and drying of the leather.
Store boots in a place where temperatures are stable and normal. Do not store boots in attics, garages, car trunks or any unventilated spaces.
Never put boot in washing machine.

CleanStream™ is a design philosophy that runs through our line of wading footwear. While not specific to a product feature, this designation does indicate that the product includes features and/or materials that are more resistant to "hitch-hiking" organisms – have less exposed stitching, fewer ridges & pockets and utilize non-absorbent materials – all making the boots easier to inspect, clean and dry faster. All of these elements assist anglers in doing their part to prevent the spread of invasive species. For more information, please visit our CleanStream™ page or these organizations: www.cleanangling.org, www.protectyourwaters.net or www.tu.org.

The StreamTread™ sole featuring Vibram® technology is exclusive to Simms. Co-developed with Vibram®, the leader in sole technology, StreamTread™ provides two distinct advantages compared to other soles. One is a patented 360-degree lug pattern that cuts through moss and mud. The second is a proprietary mix of rubber compounds that offer super grippy traction, are extremely easy to clean and ensure that the boots don’t collect a lot of debris.
-
Vibram® soles are built from the bottom up and are designed to overcome very specific obstacles on a variety of terrains. Vibram® invests heavily in research and development of products never overlooking even the most minute detail. Vibram® soles boast innovative compounds and technical sole patterns, specifically developed to meet the challenges of many different environments and applications. www.vibram.us
-
Schoeller® NanoSphere® - the nanotech-based finishing technology allows dirt and water to simply run off the surface of the textiles. This mimics the natural self-cleaning effect of certain plants whose leaves always remain clean, because dirt simply cannot adhere to the finely structured surface, and is easily washed off when it rains.

Overall just spent a week in se ak fishing rivers for steelhead.. had to use non felt soles so I bought the guide boots with the eight cleat configuration recommended by simms.
I give them an ten outta ten possible points for holding on rocky bottoms. I felt like spider man on rocky bottoms.
watch your step on bottoms or trails etc where you have to keep your footing on logs, sticks etc. here I found the cleats not holding nearly as well and slipped many times where I think my old fashioned felt soles would have not.
to remedy this I think I will add cleats to the area right where the arch of your foot is on the sole. this is a natural area in which u try and locate a stick to stand on and the currant cleat configuration recommended has no cleats in this area. I give them a six outta ten for holding in mixed enviornments.
They are heavier that I thought they would be but I don't think that deterred from their efficiveness and is probably due to the vibram sole. it is obviously going to be heavier than felt(Posted on 5/26/13)

Overall I put many miles on these boots from trails to river bottoms. This is the best wading boot out on the market. The ankle support is great for long hikes to the water and comfort of a walking shoe. I have always been a Simms guy and these boot are why.
Thanks Simms(Posted on 5/8/13)
- Simms is a long-term investment. Review by Trout Hunter

Overall I am very satified with these boots. I bought the studs along with them and never had to put them on. Although, the bottom wasn't completely full of snotty rocks, I never questioned a step I took. My feet never hurt a bit even when I am standing for 6+ hours at a time. These are plenty supportive and the sizing chart says I should be in a 12. I returned my 12's and bought 11's cause of fit. I would only go with the size 12 if a size 11.5 shoe is tight on your foot. Either way the return/exchange porcess was simple and smooth to get the 11's. I'm a Simms believer.(Posted on 4/24/13)

Overall As a long time customer of Simms I know that I can confidently buy any product and expect it to be simply amazing. This boot is no exception. I bought the boot about 3 months ago and loved it from the second I hit the slate with them. However, they did begin to peel apart at the sole and toe cap rather quick. But here is the thing...a phone call to simms and a quick email exchange of information, I had a brand spanking new pair on the way. That speak volumes to me. And we all know that a bad batch of glue can happen in any manufacturing environment. If you decide to pick these boots up, do so in confidence. Best customer service in the industry, Period.(Posted on 2/26/13)

Overall I have had these boots for a couple of months now and they are awesome. They have defiantly lived up to my expectations. Super comfortable and have a sure grip. I did have to add the hard-bite star cleat which made them even better on slick rocks.(Posted on 2/21/13)

Overall Used the boots for 2 years now. I fish year round in the east. I can say that I have not had any traction issues with the vibram sole and I find the ankle support and fit of the boot to be outstanding.
The one issue I take with these boots is that in the first month of having them and fishing hard every weekend as I do, the toe caps started pulling apart at the seams.
This is below the standard to which I hold Simms, especially their top boot. I have had nothing but good experiences with everything else Simms I own. I hope I am the exception and not the standard.
Aside from that, it is a good boot.(Posted on 2/20/13)
