Sportswear Product Care
Machine wash cold with like colors. Use non-chlorine bleach. Tumble dry low. Low iron.
At Simms, sun protection is a critical component of our sportswear offering. Through a combination of fabric construction, design and finish, we offer a wide range of clothing that features a minimum UPF of 30 (very good) up to UPF of 50 (excellent). UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure significantly. All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.
- Great shirt but the neck's too big Review by Catskill Guy
OverallI have 6 of these new guide shirts (3 in 2 countries) and I love them, comfortable, practical, they just work but seriously the neck is way too big. I'm a 16 and a half and these shirts button up at least 2 inches down from my neck. Doesn't change my opinion of the product but if you fix it I'm up for a product recall.

- Great Spring and Fall Shirt Review by swattinsalmon
OverallIn the boat or on shore this is a great shirt. I travel and this is incredibly comfortable for those long hours of flying and driving to adventurous destinations.

- Sweet Shirt Review by Justin
OverallI really like the new guide shirt. I was a fan of the previous guide shirt and own several of them, but the new one has some great improvements. First I think the fit is a little better and its seems to feel a little lighter than the previous guide shirt. The pockets aren't as bulky and I like how the zippers are hidden. I also like the micro fiber patch for cleaning your sunglasses. It's a great all-around shirt. I just wish there were some other color offerings like maybe green, simms orange, or aqua. Will the tidal blue ever be back in stock???

- Love This Shirt Review by Captain13
OverallI bought the Guide LS about two weeks ago. I'm 6'3", 195 lbs and took an extra large. The fit is perfect. Not baggy but rather a nice trim fit that allows plenty of movement. I have other fishing shirts but nothing like the Guide. The fabric is light, yet tough. The UA and Columbia made shirts I have, snag easily and look pretty rough after a few good washes and fishing trips. Not the Simms Guide. It wears well, no snags and looks and fits very good. The zip pockets are very functional and are not obvious under the outer pocket. A well thought out design that looks professional.
I have the grey and will probably get the only other color I saw which was khaki. You guys need to make a few more colors. Black would really look good.

- Perfect shirt, bad sizing Review by Steelhead
Overallthis shirt is a nice improvement over last year in features. Color great, quality great. Simms cut traditionally fits me well, and still true with one exception. size L came with an 18.5" neck. supposed to be 16.5-17 per the sizing chart, and way bigger than my other Simms guide shirt. too bad - probably a bad manufacturing run.
[Response from Simms Customer Care Team]
Thanks Steelhead. Spoke with our Product Development team about your issue. If you measured from the the end of one placket to the other placket end it would add about 1" to your measurement. To find the neck circumference measure from end of button-hole to the middle of the button following the neck seam. We took a measurement of a few shirts in the warehouse just to make sure. As to why yours may be fitting looser than normal, can't say what would cause that but please give us a call at 888.585.3570 or email [email protected] and we can discuss.

- GReat except the sleeves from shoulder to elbow are a little tights Review by Dick Hardwick
OverallI love this shirt, pockets, zippers and light weight yet durable! The sleeves are a little too tight from shoulders to elbow! If you are not trying out for Mr or Mrs America, it's your shirt for travel, fishing or what ever your travel clothing needs could be!
