- Product Care
For proper cleaning of your footwear to descrease the likelihood of spreading Aquatic Invasive Species, please reference our CleanStream™ page.
If using in saltwater always clean and rinse to prevent corrosion.
Use a brush to remove dust and dirt. Choose an old vegetable brush or toothbrush. For maximum thoroughness, remove laces prior to cleaning. Use specialized boot cleaner, saddle soap or maybe a mild dishwashing soap with luke-warm water.
Do not use bar soap or detergents.
Do not place wet boots close to a heat source (fireplace, campfire, wood stove, radiator, heater, sunny windowsill) as this can weaken adhesives and cause materials to become brittle or shrink.
Dry using natural methods (air dry) and try to keep them out of the sun for long periods of time. Boots dry faster when positioned upside-down. If desired, stuff a sheet or two of newspaper into each boot to absorb moisture. Change the paper each hour.
If you see any mold on your boots, brush in a mixture of 80% water and 20% vinegar.
Over time the use of leather conditioners may provide increased water repellency and can prevent cracking and drying of the leather.
Store footwear in a place where temperatures are stable and normal. Do not store footwear in attics, garages, car trunks or any unventilated spaces.
Never put footwear in washing machine.

- I don't think i will ever buy a different pair of shoes Review by Thomas
OverallI bought these shoes a little over a month ago for work in the outdoor industry. I am on my feet for 12+ hours a day very frequently and have yet to have any discomfort. As far as the grip for the soles my job also makes it necessary to have very well gripping shoes and i have never had a problem with grip while wearing them. excellent pair of shoes i highly recommend them

- outstanding Review by JC
OverallI wear these shooes for my daily walk because they are so comfortable, as well as wearing them around the steeam. After a year the heels are wearing out because I walk on pavement. I consider this normal wear and the result of a relatively soft sole (which makes the shoe grip better). The shoes are very comfortable and I will be buying another pair soon.

- A Little Disappointed Review by Devin
OverallI own many Simms products and have been very satisfied with all, until now. The overall fit of this shoe is good, but the outside lateral, top edge bangs my ankle bones. It is just a bit too high. I placed gel inserts to raise my heels in the shoes just a bit and that works. I do have normal feet, by-the-way. The shoes seem very stiff and I am hoping they will break-in after a bit more wear. No question they are durable. I expected near immediate comfort and I am disappointed that is not the case.

- Great shoe Review by Mark
OverallThis is the second pair of these shoes that I have owned. The size of the first was slightly small compared to other shoes, so the second pair was ordered a half-size larger. I wear a relatively thick sock with it. It fits great, is comfortable, sturdy, holds my foot and ankle well, does not slip on wet or icy surfaces. It dries fast after being wet. I wear it all day.

- satisfied but not totally Review by Gary Simms
OverallThis is the second pair of these type of shoes I have bought from Simms. I still have the first pair after two years and normal wear aside they are still in decent shape. The shoes in the pic are not exactly what I received. My new pair is a different colored toe and doesn't have black on the perimeter of the sole as well as a few other sublte cosmetic differences. My biggest complaint is that I have a narrower foot and even with lacing these up, the D width doesn't fit properly. I actually purchased an aftermarket pair of inner-soles and with those installed I have a much better fit. Last pair fit like a champ from day one. It's always a disappointment when you buy what you already know and love and it has been changed a little bit and doesn't perform quite the same. If they last as well as the previous pair has, I am sure I will get my moneys worth but the pair that I bought from a fishing shop in Colorado versus online were a better fit. That and the wearability were the main reasons I bought them along with the fact that my last name just happens to be Simms so that's an added bonus when your shoes already have you name on them.

- My rep. Capt. Dave gave me a pair when they first came out! Review by Jake "Rooster" Garner @ Mark's Outdoors
Overall.......AWESOME? Yes, I have to say because I always wore Sperry's as a deckhand or went barefoot. but now I don't have too! These are a great everyday shoes and very great boat shoes due to the quick drying and drainage! 10 stars if I could rate it that high!

- Great boat shoes Review by Justin
OverallGreat shoes for running around the boat. Jumping around my center console bay boat in pusuit of boiling stripers can be chaotic. These shoes allow me to comfortably be on my feet all day. They drain well after being submersed in water. The nonmarking soles are forgiving on the deck and provide good traction. Great hot weather shoes.
