- Product Care
For proper cleaning of your footwear to descrease the likelihood of spreading Aquatic Invasive Species, please reference our CleanStream™ page.
If using in saltwater always clean and rinse to prevent corrosion.
Use a brush to remove dust and dirt. Choose an old vegetable brush or toothbrush. For maximum thoroughness, remove laces prior to cleaning. Use specialized boot cleaner, saddle soap or maybe a mild dishwashing soap with luke-warm water.
Do not use bar soap or detergents.
Do not place wet boots close to a heat source (fireplace, campfire, wood stove, radiator, heater, sunny windowsill) as this can weaken adhesives and cause materials to become brittle or shrink.
Dry using natural methods (air dry) and try to keep them out of the sun for long periods of time. Boots dry faster when positioned upside-down. If desired, stuff a sheet or two of newspaper into each boot to absorb moisture. Change the paper each hour.
If you see any mold on your boots, brush in a mixture of 80% water and 20% vinegar.
Over time the use of leather conditioners may provide increased water repellency and can prevent cracking and drying of the leather.
Store footwear in a place where temperatures are stable and normal. Do not store footwear in attics, garages, car trunks or any unventilated spaces.
Never put footwear in washing machine.

- High quality boot Review by JP
OverallI recently purchased a pair of these, and I am extremely satisfied. These boots are very well made, they are solid and durable. I've been looking for a good saltwater boot, and these are perfect, they are great from surf fishing in the sand, or climbing out on the jetty, with the kleets I feel very safe. They also hold up well walking the sod banks of the bay, the mud washes off very easily. Most importantly, they are very comfortable and warm, without being too heavy. I ordered one size larger than my normal shoe size as they recommend for pairing with their stockingfoot waders, and they fit perfectly.

- Good boot Review by DarthWader
OverallAfter going through 5 pairs of another company's wading boot due to corroding hardware, I was ecstatic to find this boot. Finally a boot I can use stalking the sod backs for stripers and weakfish. My only complaint is that the left boot rubs horrible on my inside ankle. it hurts so bad I gave it three stars, because everything else is perfect.
Since I don't see anyone else reporting a similar problem, I can only assume that
1) i have a wierd ankle or
2) there may be a manufacturing defect where the the material wasn't cut or sewn right.
I've never had this problem with any other boot or shoe,so i'm leaning towards number 2. Either way, if i could lace my left boot all the way and not have to put a pad in there when I wear them, it gets 5 stars, easy.

- Great quality Review by Big D
OverallI am 2 years into this boot... I probably bought one of the first off the line. The 14's fit perfect and feel great. I surf fish in So Cal so my needs are a bit different than those that fish up north. I have been through numerous competitors boots - some have literally separated and fallen apart within 2 years - however, these seem to be holding up extremely well! I only fish with waders 6-7 months out of the year and switch to wet wading the the rest of the year. Those six or so months of wading I put the hurt on my boots big time! The surf zone with all the sand and salt challenge any construction. The only negative is the lack of drainage and subsequent time it takes for them to dry out after a session. I keep my waders and boots out of direct light during the dry-out period and it takes the boots a good 2-3 days or so for them to dry. Fix that issue and this becomes the go-to top quality surf fishing wader boot on the market - period - IMO.

- Finally! Review by CT
OverallThank you for finally designing a boot for wearing with waders. Gone are the days of cramped toes. These boots feel great while wearing my G4z's.
For those thinking of buying: I normally wear a 9.5 men's shoe. The size 10 fit perfect with my waders.

- Awesome boot Review by TM
OverallThese are great for wading, and are extremely comfortable! I was worried when I bought these that they wouldn't work well in rivers but they proved me wrong and they were fantastic, my only problem was when you tighten them for the first 10 minutes of wearing them they are a little rough on the ankles but after that they are golden!

- Incredible Saltwater boot Review by Clint
OverallTHESE ARE INCREDIBLE... I've never been more comfortable and stable wading over shell and mud in boots before. The fit with my G4's are great. My feet don't feel cramped like they did in my other boots.. Thanks Simms for looking out for the Saltwater anglers.. You rock!!

- Great Boot Review by DM
OverallThank you Simms for coming out with a boot that feels great with waders! The increased width in the Oceantek Boot makes a world of difference when you are on an all day wade.

- Disappointed Review by JCF
OverallI own many fine Simms products but the OceanTek Boot is a disappointment - although the quality of materials and craftsmanship is high they eliminated the drain vents by the sole so these boots stay damp for days.
