- Product Care
The ability to block wind is inherent in the fabric. Proper washing will not affect its ability to block wind.
Turn item inside-out and machine wash warm with liquid detergent specifically for membrane clothing (available in specialist sports shops). Tumble dry cool, or hang drying is the safest.
Remember to zip all pockets and close all Velcro cuffs before washing to prevent any damage caused by the machine.
Do not dry clean, use bleach or fabric softeners.
It is better to care for the garment often with a little detergent than rarely with a lot of detergent.
Most anglers have experienced a windblown day on the water - many including rain, sleet or snow. Any one of these elements might be enough to drive you inside if you aren’t wearing the proper gear. WINDSTOPPER® fabrics include two key features to make your fishing experience more comfortable:
- Total windproof protection. WINDSTOPPER® membrane blocks 100% of blowing wind. - All Simms WINDSTOPPER® fabrics feature DWR to keep water absorption to the absolute minimum - even with lofty fleece.

- Excellent Review by William
OverallGreat quality control and wonderful design. Jacket allows movement and is cut perfectly, even for an old guy. Will be great as to ward off morning chill or as a layer in more extreme situations.

- Loving it! Review by West Branch
OverallMy wife just got this for me for my birthday. Lighter weight than I expected, mostly in a good way. It's a "soft shell" not a "windstopper fleece" so you'll have to layer under it if it's cold. I kinda thought it would be a little cozier/thicker fleece. Not much in the way of fleece in it, just the texture. So, now understanding that, I love the look, fit, feel, and weight of this thing. So easy to move around in it. The logos look cool and are smooth and reflective to light. Just have a couple different base layers to go with it for different weather and it will do the rest. Almost hate to take it fishing cause it looks so good just wearing around.

- Excellant soft shell Review by "Shallowcast" Fly fishing and light tackle
OverallSurprisingly warm for as light weight as this jacket is. Undershirt, fleece pullover and this soft shell and I'm warm enough for the day around town here in Hampton Roads in January.
I've been using Simms products for years. Still got my old Guide Jacket (Blue in color, only came in that or green back then). I'm now into my third Simms wading jacket, G4 along with the G4Z waders.
Still have all my Simms products. Can't wear anything Simms out.
First time I've left feed back on any of their products. Guess I've just been to lazy, long over due.

- Great quality Review by Stephen
OverallWhen I ordered this jacket I have to admit that I didn't quite know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised when It came in the mail. It fits well and is well designed to give freedom of movement. I am very impressed with the overall quality of this outdoor garment. I'm not just going to wear it fishing! I liked it so much that I bought another in the Hoodie design.

OverallThis a great jacket to wear on chilly mornings or wear as an outer layer for colder weather. As always, Simms clothing is a quality buy.

- Great, flexible garment Review by Sandy
OverallI must confess that this jacket received a 5 star because it was on sale at a deep discount. However, the quality is superior, but I was somewhat disappointed with the "Made in China" tag. The quality of this jacket will out weigh the origin of manufacture, particularly with the life time warranty.

- A must have fishing jacket Review by Sandy
OverallThis would be a 5 star garmet if it could carry me to the fishery. I have discovered that Simms gear is outstanding.....any gear! This jacket is lightweight, warm, and the quality is excellent. Say what you will, but Simms gear is made in the U.S. and it shows. Also, this jacket is extremely versatile. Here in northern New Mexico, I will probably use the jacket as a base layer under my winter shell, but for many days it should be a "stand alone" garment.

- Windstopper Works Review by JH Fly
OverallGreat jacket. I keep this in my boat for when the sun goes down and the wind picks up. Light weight so I don't over heat rowing. Windstopper really works.
