Overall I have been using these spats for over 10 years and they have done nothing but make my fishing experience miserable. They do not stay on my boots and I am constantly looking down to see if they are still on my feet. This is extremely annoying particularly when I have to back track through brush to find a lost guard. Yesterday, I lost one of them (from my second pair, I lost one from the first pair as well) which has finally prompted this review. Simms used to make a zipper version that I loved and worked well even in winter. Get rid of the velcro!!!!!(Posted on 7/19/12)

Overall I started using these before Simms decided to build them into their waders. They still see use during the wet wading season. We also use them as part of our loaner program for clients. Nothing will eat up neoprene stocking feet faster than gravel. They provide protection and stay in place. A great accessory product.(Posted on 7/19/12)
