- Work perfect Review by Nick
OverallI installed these 9 months ago and they still work as well as they did new. Yes they have wear, but I fish five days a week. If you need more traction team these up with the Aluminum cleats.

- Good studs that last Review by Rick
OverallI've had these in the bottom of my Riversheds for 4 yrs and I'm in the river 50-60 days a year. I like that I can take them out for a drift boat ride (seldom have to do this as I usually bring a pad) and stick them back in to wade the slippery rocks. When they do finally start to wear down it's time to replace the boots anyway. Just picked up the 2014 G3 Guide boot and installed a new set. The compound used in the new boot should allow the studs to continue to work even when they start to wear down. Only time will tell.

- Duh Review by mike
OverallJust an observation, two of these reviews open with how they installed the studs on "FELT BOTTOMS" even though they advertise them as being for the Vibrams. Silly people....

- work great out west Review by Douglas
OverallI have had a set in my boots for 4 years they are now worn down to the point I need to replace them.... but so are the boots. I have always been able to take them out ( for the boat ) and put them back in.. I fish a bunch of rivers from rocky freestone to tail waters. Great studs,

- Not worth the trouble Review by Doug
OverallThey are too expensive and very hard to install. The tool provided is worthless.

- good product Review by PA fisherman
OverallI've gotten a couple years use out of one set of studs. With a couple hundred days of fishing both PA spring creeks and freestones, to salmon/steelhead fishing on lake Erie/Ontario tribs. I actually had to replace the soles before the studs. However, I am replacing the studs with the soles. I expect the same results.

- Caveat Emptor Review by Mark
OverallI purchased a package of these ridiculously priced studs and installed them in my felt-soled guide boots (which I love!). After exactly seven days of fishing on the Dean River they were as smooth and flat as a baby's butt. Worse yet, the remainder(s) are virtually impossible to remove, even with the Simms tool provided. When I hit the river I look like I stepped out of a Simms catalogue. I love their gear, all of it, with the exception of the ineffective and shockingly priced studs they sell. The irony is that the rocks, basalt and granite ledges studs are designed to work on are the very places that cause these studs to erode almost immediately.

- Worn out in one trip Review by Matt
OverallUsed these on a new pair of Simms felt-bottomed Guide boots for a 6 day trip on the Deschutes. By the end of day 3 the entire head portion of the screw had worn down. For the price I had hoped they would last longer, but I can't afford to replace them after each extended trip. Hopefully I'll be able to at least remove them from the boot. Also, the set I bought did not come with a key as shown here.
