Overall Layering is the name of the game. Usually wear an base layer, then my mid layer and lately- the Guide Fleece Top has proven more than enough on the water. If it gets breezy, I slip on my Simms Rogue Fleece to cut the wind, but the two of them together on a mild day can causeextra perspiration if you are crossing a lot of water or chasing down steelhead through dense cedar stands in Northern Michigan. Highy recommend buying one and keeping it in a dry bag in a storage compartment on your boat, it may come in very handy some day.

Overall Great! Soft, warm, and light. Stretchy without being clingy. I urge Simms not to DC this item. It seems my favorite things in the outdoor industry get "improved" or dropped in favor of next season's model. This is perfect in every way. I'll order a second one just in case!(Posted on 8/9/12)

Overall I wear this in the winter over the waderwick top. This is all I need unless the temps drop into the 20's. Very warm. Be warned, if you do go swimming in this, it will absorb water and does not dry fast like the waderwick. Not the products fault, I don't think it was designed for swimming! Pocket useful for small camera or cell phone. 1/4 zip nice to let heat out or zip up to keep heat in.(Posted on 7/17/12)

Overall This is a great layering top and a good value for the money. The smooth exterior is going to hold up, and it doesn't bunch under a jacket. It has a nice stretch, so I can move about freely (just like a Honey Badger).(Posted on 7/17/12)
