Good all around Review by minard
Mine work well and seem to cut everything from 30lb mono to 6x without any issues. I've noticed a bit of a hiccup in the spring once or twice if the zinger attachment gets jostled the wrong way, but it bounces back when I press it down. I like the bigger blade size.

Not bad. Review by Cardo
Yeah, I had the $50 Abel nippers. They weren't perfect either. They got dull pretty fast. Then I lost them and decided to try the Simms. At the lower price I figured there'd be some shortcomings. But, all in all these are performing just as good as the Abels. I have no lateral L to R movement like others have mentioned. I did notice that sometimes the jaws kind of stay shut a little but it eventually springs open. Love where the eye cleaner is located—didn't like where it was on the Abels.

Almost Great Review by Mike65
Overall they work. The hinge is a little loose on mine, I noticed the jaws don't line up, they move left to right... it cuts just fine just a little sloppy in the fit...

Disappointed. Review by Inishmac
Just took delivery of 4 no. nippers after a wait of 8 weeks or so, bought from TCO fly fishing and delivered to my home in Ireland - I have to say that I'm disappointed with the quality of them. I think that they should be a work in progress and not on the market yet. They have two major faults, lateral movement of the jaws (hinge too loose) and blades that don't line up and are not sharp enough, they don't make a clean cut. These problems have to be sorted out if Simms want to compete with Abel for good quality nippers. I had intended to give two of the nippers to two of my fishing buddies as a gift. I don't associate Simms with this sort of inferior quality.

junk Review by qwesi
For the price of these nippers save another 20 bucks and get the Abel's. These things are flat out junk and a pair of nail clippers would be better.

Sad coming from Simms....
