- Product Care
At Simms, sun protection is a critical component of our sportswear offering. Through a combination of fabric construction, design and finish, we offer a wide range of clothing that features a minimum UPF of 30 (very good) up to UPF of 50 (excellent). UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure significantly. All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.

OverallI took these gloves on a 2 day blue water fishing trip off of Palm Beach. The gloves work well enough, but the 10 to 12 weight lines would line up on my fingers just above the half finger glove. I would suggest making the pointing finger and middle finger a full finger on the gloves.

OverallI got a pair for the start of the steelhead season. They're great. They dry quickly and my hands are in great shape for having 70+ days on the water..that being said after 4 weeks I had to send them back. Max from customer service had a new pair out to me that same day. The new ones are already being worked hard and I see the seams failing again... I think the normal dude who's on the water 2 or 3 days a week they would be great. But as a guide I'd pass.
