- Product Care
GORE-TEX® Outerwear Care:
Cleaning your GORE-TEX® garments regularly will extend the life of the product. It will also keep them breathable as dirt and oil can clog the GORE-TEX® membrane over time.
It is critical to wash jackets. Natural oils can damage the GORE-TEX® tape and adhesives causing a peeling effect.
Machine wash warm. Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
Remember to zip all pockets and close all Velcro cuffs before washing to prevent any damage caused by the machine.
Tumble dry on warm setting making sure not to use a high heat setting. Drying on warm will actually reactivate the DWR coating.
GORE-TEX® PRO SHELL outerwear is waterproof, exceptionally lightweight and offers the ultimate in breathability, durability and extended comfort. Constructed with a woven backer, GORE-TEX® Pro Shell garments slide easily over other layers and offer exceptional tear strength and internal abrasion-resistance.
The AquaGuard® VISLON® zipper is a revolutionary new design from the global leader in containment closures. The AquaGuard® VISLON® zipper's new tooth design provides enhanced fluid repellency vs. coil or standard individual element closures, while increasing the number of design and color options for your application.
- Lives up to the hype Review by Pyramid lake truckee river NV
OverallI purchased this coat for the water tight wrist cuffs and something to save me from the elements. As far as I'm concerned this jacket paid for itself on the first outing. I landed a 15 lb cutthroat out from pyramid lake NV on a windy and cold day. While landing and releasing the cutt, I submerged my arms multiple times. At day's end my inner layers where dry and I was warm... A very small amount of water did get through, a very very small amount. I don't know how many winter days I called it quit because of getting my arms wet. Kept the wind and cold out. This jacket is top of the line... A win win. Small price to pay to stay dry and warm. Wish I could of had this jackets years ago. Nut up and get it.

- Best so far Review by Speyskunk
OverallIn over forty years of professional fly angling i believe this to be the pick of the litter of wading / rain jackets.
Beyond all the pockets and more zippers than a Virginia road map, the jacket is very personable.
Meaning that un.ike most 'highly technical' jackets this G4 rain coat feels like an old friend the day You put it on.
Only oversight in design from my 30+ days in the jacket: The pockets lack drain holes.

- G4 2014 Wading jacket Review by zonker 05
OverallHave been using the new 2014 G4 now for a dozen trips or so and find it a great wading jacket. Great features. More than enough pockets and very user friendly. A few good natured comments on the design would be to make it a bit shorter. I like my wading jackets on the short side. Also the full neck zip is a bit tight when you use a neck gaiter. Other than that it is bomb proof and I consider it an essential for Michigan all season steelhead fishing.

- Don,t fall in love with marketing shots! Review by NatureLover
OverallBought XL G4 jacket. Fits alright except... the sleeves are a bit short! And believe me, I wasn't looking for a Big & Tall item. Additional elasticated cuffs with thumb loops would be a welcomed extension.
Another thing is the underarm zippers are completly misplaced! They give you access to your triceps but waaay off the targeted armpits! And additional inner dry pocket would be usfull too.
Overall impression: overprised comparing to Gore-Tex Pro technical jackets available on the market.
