Why Outerwear?
- Product Care
GORE-TEX® Outerwear Care:
Cleaning your GORE-TEX® garments regularly will extend the life of the product. It will also keep them breathable as dirt and oil can clog the GORE-TEX® membrane over time.
It is critical to wash jackets. Natural oils can damage the GORE-TEX® tape and adhesives causing a peeling effect.
Machine wash warm. Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
Remember to zip all pockets and close all Velcro cuffs before washing to prevent any damage caused by the machine.
Tumble dry on warm setting making sure not to use a high heat setting. Drying on warm will actually reactivate the DWR coating.

- Best Jacket for Flats Fishing I've Found Review by John D.
-
Overall I run a mother ship/flats boat operation. We fish all year around on the flats of the Bahamas. I've worn the PACLITE jacket in some of the worst rain storms and squalls I've been in--and stayed dry. I've worn it in chilly conditions, like today, with a couple of layers underneath and have stayed warm and dry. The jacket fits perfectly, and allows me free range of motion to pole a skiff or cast a fly rod. The hood is very adjustable, too. I use it when we are running. ZIPPERS are key, and these are great in the salt water environment. Just take care of the jacket, and it will take care of you. Best lightweight jacket I've ever worn. The other reviews are spot on.(Posted on 1/23/13)
- A Jacket for every season Review by Bkatz1
-
Overall I use this Jacket for just about every season. From wearing a few layers under it in the winter, wading for steelhead, all the way to rain protection in Mid Summer. Living in Illinois the weather changes like nothing and this jacket is a great piece of clothing to have with you on the water no matter what the forecast says. Gor-Tex keeps you dry and comfortable inside and there plenty of pockets for fly boxes, keys, etc on the outside.(Posted on 1/23/13)

- Paclite Jacket 2011 Review by me blake
-
Overall Works perfectly. Packs down and fits easily in a Simms backpack or stashed inside my waders Used it in Idaho 3 weeks ago in a moonsoon downpour and easily stored it once it went to 85 degrees. Works just fine in 40 degree rainey weather with a little "fuzz" as a layer. Should have had one years ago......(Posted on 7/16/12)

- Paclite Jkt Review by Lawrence Vanderven

Overall Lite weight and smooooth! Great for heavy rain in the tropics or fog in the Pacific northwest (or is that humidity in the tropics and heavy rain in the PNW?). Zip it up and cinch it down. Ultra dependable.(Posted on 7/16/12)
