  • Products using the COR3™ Technology fabric finish have a UPF rating of 30 or greater, properties to minimize odor and outstanding wicking performance for important moisture management. The anti-odor finish helps control odors caused by a wide range of microorganisms (mold, mildew, algae, yeast) is compatible with virtually all fabrics. All of our performance cotton clothing utilizing COR3™ also feature COR3™ EZ. The "EZ" means easy care and indicates that garments featuring this treatment will travel well and resist wrinkles.

  • At Simms, sun protection is a critical component of our sportswear offering.  Through a combination of fabric construction, design and finish, we offer a wide range of clothing that features a minimum UPF of 30 (very good) up to UPF of 50 (excellent).  UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed.  A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through.  This means the fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure significantly.  All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.

Awesome Review by Ken
Overall
300 days on one pair of these and I am finally starting to see some wear in the crotch. I am 5-9 and 225 and the XL fits well. Just big enough to wear in the lodge but not so boot-cut you can still use them in your waders. The Velcro cuff is the key to these being the best cold weather wader pant I have owned. Excellent value.

Nice pants, but not to wear under your waders Review by Matt
Overall
The velcro on the cargo pocket has worn away a spot on the inside of my waders. Simms should removed the velcro entirely or at least redesign the way the male and female strips of velcro line up, so that there isn't a bunch of velcro to act like a scouring pad against the lining of your waders.

Thanks Matt. We have passed the info on to Research and Development. Really appreciate the feedback. Another option that may work better than the ColdWeather Pant under your waders is the Guide Mid Pant or the Guide Fleece Bib. I prefer the mid pant myself over the bib since my upper body stays pretty warm.

They will keep you warm..for sure Review by Fishdog
Overall
If you fish in cold weather, spend time standing in cold water, you can now do it and be warm too. These pants are comfortable on their own and under waders. Best of all, they will live up to the claim of being warm and functional. Really warm....really. The one drawback for me is the sizing. Not all fishermen have a waist of 34+ and the mediums are a borderline fit for me. I'm really glad I can use them though. They've made winter steelheading a lot more fun.

Too short Review by Susan
Overall
I was so excited to buy these pants for a Christmas gift. However, they are going right back to the store. The recipient is 6'1" and slender. The Large was too short. Simms, why can't you make some tall sizes? There is only one man, including sons, fathers, grandfathers, boyfriends, on both sides of my family who can wear your pants or shirts. They are all too short. P.S. - Our family is not unreasonably tall. They range from 6' to 6"4".

Thanks Susan. We have passed your suggestions to the product development team. If there is anything we may do for you in the future please contact us anytime at [email protected] or 888.585.3570.

I need another pair! Review by Hendy
Overall
Love these pants. The fleece lined pants keep you super warm, The adjustable cuff, and cargo pockets are cool features. Perfect for taking your waders off and being able to wear them after fishing, no need to get undressed in the cold. I even use them when Im playing n the snow with the kids, they keep you dry and warm!

Great pants! Review by Dan
Overall
These pants are great and comfortable! ! They are warm and the Velcro at the cuff works great. Its nice to have normal looking pants that can be worn anywhere before and after fishing yet work great under the waders. I have used them while beach fishing in the puget sound.
I even wear them on cold days when I'm not fishing. The fit is the one drawback. Im 6 ft 230 lb and take the xl. Doesn't quite fit right but large was too tight fitting

Awesome pants... Review by Beartooth Bobby
Overall
Bought the pants to walk the dogs in the cold. Wore them 3 times so far and they are everything they claim to be. Comfort plus fit make them my favorites. Used a extra wading belt worked great.

Great Cold Weather Pants! Review by Beartooth Bobby
Overall
Bought the pants for walking the dogs on the cold days. I've worn them three times so far and they meet all of my expectations. Warm on the legs, comfortable fit and like the Velcro on the hems. Using a extra wading belt works great also. Good Job Simms!!

I agree with SKI on the fit Review by craigspey
Overall
Got 2 pair of these pants when they came out. After a full winter standing in Great Lakes Steelhead water I found them warm.
But the fit in the rise is more like Hip Huggers. They are too short between the belt line & the crotch, above the inseam. Riding on the hips instead of the waist. With all the other layers I need to wear for winter Steelhead they ride below the waist line of the other layers!
