All of our performance cotton clothing utilizing COR3™ also feature COR3™ EZ. The "EZ" means easy care and indicates that garments featuring this treatment will travel well and resist wrinkles.

The Foundation's Seal of Recommendation is granted to sun protection products that have been reviewed by and meet the stringent criteria of an independent Photobiology Committee. One of the first programs offered by the Foundation, it quickly gained acceptance from consumers for setting the standard for effective sun protection with sunscreen products, sunglasses, specially treated auto and residential window film, umbrellas, clothing and laundry products that wash UV protection into clothing. To earn the Seal of Recommendation, a manufacturer must provide scientific data showing that its product sufficiently and safely “aids in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin.” The data are reviewed by a volunteer committee of photobiologists – experts in the study of the interaction between ultraviolet radiation and the skin. Learn more Sun Protection and Simms' Products.
At Simms, sun protection is a critical component of our sportswear offering. Through a combination of fabric construction, design and finish, we offer a wide range of clothing that features a minimum UPF of 30 (very good) up to UPF of 50 (excellent). UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure significantly. All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.

- Great Shirt Review by Salt Fly Fisher
OverallThis shirt is durable - yet breathable. I fly fish salt waters in the upper and lower texas coast. The pockets help keep my sunglasses close for the morning to sun transition. The shirt can keep up with a few bangs here and there with no worries of damage.

- Nice but wore out too soon. Review by Larry
OverallComfortable and well made except the fabric is not too durable. The collar is just about wore off completely on both shirts I own and where my chest pack rubs it wore holes in the shirt.

- This shirt does it all! Review by Capt. Joe
OverallSometimes you are traveling far from home and you need to carry important papers, passports, etc... You also need to have your fly boxes, tippets, and pliers. There is a lot of work to do in the hot sun. When the day is done, you want to sit down for an excellent dinner and adult beverage while discussing the days events. This shirt helps a guide to get the job done efficiently and most important, while looking your best! Back home, I have even gotten away with wearing this shirt with a coat and tie. The other guys were jealous that I was so comfortable. The best part is this shirt is so durable. It will last for many adventures to come.

- Great shirt! Review by Trout Boomer
OverallI where these shirts all year long. I love the pockets, in fact I have given up my fly vest in favor of a lanyard and this shirt. I put two hot fly boxes in the front pockets and my leaders etc. along with camera in the zipper pockets. On home waters, I have all I need.

- Great Shirt Review by Greg
OverallGreat shirt. It is light weight and looks great. The zippered pockets are great to put my sunglasses in when it is getting dark. I dont have to worry about them falling out. I put my phone in the other pocket. This works out for me. Simms, keep up the good work.

- Super Durable Yet Lightweight Review by Yukon_fly
OverallAs a guide I need a shirt that's going to be functional, presentable and durable. There's no sense in buying shirts that look great for the first 10 days on your back only to end up as the bilge rag after only a few washes. This shirt holds up to the test. It is light-weight and cool, yet extremely durable. I've worn it both in hot and cool weather (with a base layer) and found it to be extremely comfortable. The fit is excellent. For the average angler this shirt will hold up for years and still look like new.

- outlast most marriages Review by jeff Davis
OverallThey say 50% of all marriages end after five years, 100% of my Simms Guide Shirts have all lasted five years! The Simms Guide Shirt is the most functional, well designed and durable fishing shirt on the market. Just ordered a another one. My other five lasted so long that I finally outgrew them-gone from a medium to a large. To many Moose Drools, I guess. PS> I miss the old mustard yellow color. Please bring it back.

- Actually breathes Review by Barry Dodd
OverallAs a guide, I spend lots of time on the water and the south Texas heat is brutal. I have guide shirts from several other brand name companies, and they're good shirts. But, none breathe like these. These Guide shirts make those hot days much more comfortable. If you have a different brand, just buy one of these to compare the comfort level. You will be impressed!
