- It Leaks Review by Chilean

Overall The zipper leaks badly. It is comfortable and good for misty/light rain/streamside but in Chilean Patagonia downpours and splashy drifts it performed poorly and left me w/ wet gear. Buy the roll top which I had and was bulletproof. I lost it and bought the zip top which I now regret.(Posted on 11/8/12)
- Nice Pack Review by Mike

Overall I've used this pack in some serious weather while fishing for Steelhead and Salmon and it performed very well by keeping my gear dry. It's also a comfortable pack to wear when loaded with layers of clothing that come off as the day wears. My criticism of the pack is it is not overly technical. The interior pockets are not the most functional. There are two long narrow pockets that are basically useless, because you can't put items in them and retrieve them without turning the pack over to shake them out. The zipper pouch inside as well as the larger pouch inside is good. However, this pack definitely contemplates some other sort of storage place for spare tippet spools, leaders, etc. I don't wear a chest pack. The two side mesh type pockets that I use for water bottles are of marginal construction. Time will tell if they last. They unzip quickly and do not stay zipped very well. In short, a solid pack to keep gear dry. Rides high on the back to give you plenty of deep wading that waist packs don't provide. Zipper is not 100% waterproof (it can not be submerged), but waterproof enough to keep your gear dry in a soaking day of rain. Zipper also starts high on the pack which enables you to wade over the bottom of the pack without the risk of water entering the zipper.(Posted on 11/8/12)
- Good Pack Review by Allan Campbell - Eureka, CA

Overall This is a good pack. It stays waterproof in both heavy rain and standing water in the bottom of the drift boat. However, the deployable side pockets are made of a snag-prone, fragile material. After only one season, the pockets are both ripped to the point that one isn't usable. The main compartment is very burly, and even overloaded (25+ lbs), is comfortable to lug around all day. I trust this pack to keep expensive camera equipment and tackle dry in all conditions.(Posted on 7/16/12)

Overall I used the Dry Creek Day Pack all summer to carry my fly boxes, digital camera, lunch and gear during my fishing trip on the Miramichi Rivers and the Restigouche River. it is especially nice on a rainy day or in my 26 feet strip canoe on the Restigouche.(Posted on 7/16/12)
- It Works! Review by Fishdog - Chimacum, WA

Overall I used this pack during one of the coldest, wettest summers I've experienced in twelve vyears of guiding in Southwest Alaska and it performed brilliantly. It did everything Simms promised and kept the things dry that I needed to keep dry, also organized and accessible.(Posted on 7/16/12)
