Toray® Wader Care:
Toray® waders are breathable though not as breathable as GORE-TEX®. They do not have the same properties as GORE-TEX® and therefore finding pinholes will not be possible using the alcohol test. Care for Simms wader with Toray® technology them as you would a GORE-TEX® wader. Make sure to dry them out after use and do not wear jeans, and never use a dryer to dry them.
We are not able to replace the feet on Toray® waders. We are only able to put custom feet on GORE-TEX® waders.
Washing - Use a front load machine or hand wash. Use cold water and normal detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you have washed the waders make sure you dry them properly start by drying the inside first. Never put your waders in the dryer, the heat will adversely affect the seam tape on your waders and will void your warranty.

The QuadraLam™ fabric featured in the Freestone® and Blackfoot™ waders is a heavy-duty engineered fabric with a microporous waterproof coating that utilizes 2-layer coated fabric, a single membrane layer and a tricot backer to offer improved durability.

Overall my first waders that i purchased due to the low price. worn them for about a year and taken the best care that i could with them but they are now starting to leak. these are great for beginners but if money allows get goretex(Posted on 7/16/12)

Overall was leary of the price on some of the simms waders, so i thought i would try their "bottom of the barrel" waders - the blackfoots. well, the waders have been just plain awesome! after a year of abuse, everything from rocks, to bush, to fench, from cold to hot, rain and sun - the waders have been comfortable and kept me dry. just a quality product and the price was right!(Posted on 7/16/12)

Overall This was my first pair of Simms waders and I must say they are awesome. I was tired of paying money for other brands of waders that consistently leaked. I decided on the Blackfoot based on price and fit. I am a big guy and these waders are a perfect fit and provide plenty of room for me. The cost for the product is a no-brainer and I reccomend them to anyone that asks. Once I wear this pair out I will move up the simms ladder to the G3 waders, however as hard as I have fished them there is barely any wear in them at all so my upgrade might be a while!
