I have the Pursuit sandals, which are great but, they are heavy and not very attrative to wear to the farmers market. I next went with the North Face Hedgefrogs which were light and nice looking but, they did not wear very well. Then I found the StreamTreads. They are by far the best sandals I have ever owned. I wear the brown ones everywhere when the weather permits. I just ordered the grey ones for the beach. One note, I wear 1/2 size smaller in the sandals. Not sure why, but wanted to mention it. Try them on first.

I work as a guide in Colorado in the summer but also try to get in a lot of fishing on my own (!). I purchased the Stream Tread Sandals this past summer and used them on a dozen or so occasions, including several backpacking trips (that is the principal function I had in mind for them due to the light weight and compact size). I initially used them without cleats and was amazed at how stable they were. But then, on the recommendation of a fellow guide, I added Hardbite cleats and was even more astounded at how sturdy they make one feel, even in the "slickest" of wading circumstances. And when paired with the excellent Simms neoprene wading socks one is as warm as toast, even in 40 degree water. I'll be using this fine pair of products in New Zealand, wading wet, in November.
I am very impressed, and pleased. Congratulations, Simms!

This is the best river shoe that I have owned. After using it in the river and on my boats. The shoe never let me down. No slipping on rocks, No shoe scuffs on boat decks. The comfort level is outstanding my feet never hurt after a day wearing them. Even worn wet to soccer practice with the kids it stood up to the demands. I gave these shoes a 4 rating for the sole fact that towards the end of the season I had some wicked cool looking tan marks on the top of my feet.
