Love the design of this bag, but not overly impressed with the durability. Season number 3 saw many of the seams blow out. I plan to buy another one, but would like to see a little more durable material used in the construction of the bag.

Super happy with this bag, I used it every trip. Perfect amount of room for day tripping and it never leaked even in some of the most extreme down pours.

This bag is a beach guides dream. I have been using this for 2 years and the durability and size is perfect for guiding my clients on the beach - it handles all the added gear and clothes I need to carry along and I never need to worry about water because its bulletproof. Also use it on the boat and for traveling, the weatherproof elements and the overall size fits my needs perfectly.

As a walk/wade fishing guide I was always looking for the perfect backpack to comfortably carry gear and lunch for the day and keep everything dry as we negotiate mountain streams. Last year, fishing with a Dutch friend in Patagonia, I was introduced to his backpack. It was just was just what I was searching for. As soon as I returned I ordered one.
The backpack is amazingly comfortable, even fully loaded, for a long hike into back country. The outside zippered pocket has more than enough room for “on the go” items and the main compartment can be easily accessed by a client or fishing partner without having to take the backpack off.

I abuse the heck out of this bag. Use it for canyoneering and whitewater boating. Perfect size for a light weight overnighter in a slot canyon. I have modified mine quite a bit with hypalon and D ring tie downs for lashing rod tubes and tying into the raft or lowering down waterfalls.
I am 6'1" and the shoulder straps are a bit short and the waist belt goes across my rib cage. Not a big deal since I normally have a minimal load. It is NOT waterproof but highly water resistant. Stuff always seems to get damp but I can't find a leak. I think water actually weeps through the fabric if the bag is sitting on a wet floor or drug in the river too long. If you have something like a camera or iPhone, put them in a small waterproof bag.
