As a huge fan of the old Simms Flats Sneakers which saw me well for 6 years of hellish treatment, from the flats of the Seychelles outer Atolls, to fishing the surf zones of the entire South African coastline, and even doubling up for trekking into mountain streams, when I saw these new Boots, I immediately placed an order... got to say I've been thuroughly dissapointed... awesomely comfortable, with great support etc, but shockingly poorly made... first time I wore them, the sole started peeling off on both the toe ends of the boots... the uppers are wearing through, and the soles are damaged already, way more than my 6 year old Sneakers.... it seems these boots won't last more than 5 trips.... even 1 trip because I've had to reglue the soles in the front... Very dissapointing to be honest as I sang the Sneakers praises to all and sundry... would not recommend these unfortunately, as cool as they look and feel, and are comfortable, the build quality is shocking, and certainly not what I'd expect from Simms, as every otherSimms product I've had has been flawless.. Sorry guys, these Boots are a dud... fix the sole, more like the Sneakers which are stiched... the glue on the Boots is a joke... Sorry...
