Flats Fishing

Los Roques, Venezuela, is one of our favorite saltwater destinations. Along with the pancake flats are the coral lined edges that can simply tear up your feet. The Simms Flats Sneakers have gone through two seasons of rough wading and are none the worse for wear. That's a real testament to durability. The other thing that we like is that we're often forced to travel light and the Flats Sneakers are comfortable to wear on the plane.

Barry and Cathy Beck live in the Fishing Creek Valley of northeastern Pennsylvania. They're members of the Simms Advisory Board, Sage Team, Action Optics, Tibor Reel Company, and 3M/Scientific Anglers. The Becks host fly fishing trips around the world for Frontiers International, the world's largest sporting travel agency. They also conduct fly fishing schools and clinics. Their photography and articles appear regularly in fly fishing magazines and calenders including Fly Fisherman, Saltwater Fly Fishing, Fly Fishing in Saltwaters, and Gray's Sporting Journal.
