FAVORITE SIMMS PRODUCTS: Our favorites include the Superlight Pant--we live in these in summer and in warmer climates in the winter. We use the 3XDry Stretch Crew in our shoulder seasons. Rain gear is huge in the Northeast, and we use several pieces of Simms outer wear: Paclite® jackets and rain pants, and I also have a Rivertek Jacket that I love. The fleece can’t be beat--we have several vests and the soft shell jackets. Jeff and I fish mostly from boats but when we want to fish from the shore, we wear Simms bootfoot waders. Our store, Cross Rip Outfitters, carries only one line of waders: Simms Bootfoots in the Freestone upper. Great waders and they last.

IDEAL GUIDE / CLIENT DAY: An ideal client is someone that is out for a good time and is out to experience everything around them. To find beauty in the outdoors and enjoy the whole experience. To enjoy the hunt, finding the right spot, the right fly or lure, get the fly or lure in the right spot and hope the fish finds it. And when the plan comes together--that is what makes it for the client and me. It’s a great feeling when you put a client on fish. There is something special when once in the right place with the right cast or presentation, the fish strikes--it makes it all worth while. The reel sings and the fisherman smiles. That’s what makes it. That smile.

OTHER PERSONAL INTERESTS / FACTS: We love to fish on our own in lots of different places in the off season: the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and even a little out West. We also enjoy flying, hiking and horseback riding.
