- Product Care
The ability to block wind is inherent in the fabric. Proper washing will not affect its ability to block wind.
Turn item inside-out and machine wash warm with liquid detergent specifically for membrane clothing (available in specialist sports shops). Tumble dry cool, or hang drying is the safest.
Remember to zip all pockets and close all Velcro cuffs before washing to prevent any damage caused by the machine.
Do not dry clean, use bleach or fabric softeners.
It is better to care for the garment often with a little detergent than rarely with a lot of detergent.
Most anglers have experienced a windblown day on the water - many including rain, sleet or snow. Any one of these elements might be enough to drive you inside if you aren’t wearing the proper gear. WINDSTOPPER® fabrics include two key features to make your fishing experience more comfortable:
- Total windproof protection. WINDSTOPPER® membrane blocks 100% of blowing wind. - All Simms WINDSTOPPER® fabrics feature DWR to keep water absorption to the absolute minimum - even with lofty fleece.

- Wind stopper fold over mitts Review by Mike
OverallBest gloves I've ever bought. Had them for two years now and I'm contemplating buying another pair just to have in case. They are durable, warm, functional. I use them for everything from fishing to hunting to hiking, shoveling snow, going to and from work, etc etc. unless they're on my hands, they never leave my pockets in the winter

- Great glove, poor stitching Review by Ryno
OverallI love the fit and feel of these gloves. They provided much better warmth than you would reasonably expect from such a light pair of gloves. Only downside was the stitching. I've only fished with these gloves on a single 5 day fishing trip (about 50 hrs of fishing), and already had seams tear on both gloves.
I am hoping Simms will replace them since they are only a week old. If not I'll stitch them up with some power pro and hope for the best. For the price I expected something more durable, but the material and design is otherwise excellent.

- very unhappy with these mitts Review by fishroper
OverallAt first I thought these mitts were great then upon the third wear the seam split by the thumb. I sent them back and SIMMS replaced them I took my brand new gloves for their first use today and guess what... the new pair split on the seam as well. I have had many gloves and have never had this problem before. These mitts are not well made at all. In addition the fact that you have to tuck in the fold over pairs makes this mitt in my opinion a bit of a hassle to deal with she fishing.. Do NOT buy these mitts unless you like paying for postage or love trying to sow things.

Sorry to hear that fishropper. Would like to find out more information about what you were doing at the time they split so this doesn't happen in the future. Really appreciate the feedback. Contact us anytime at [email protected] or 888.585.3570.

- So nice you will want to wear them even when you dont need them. Review by Francisco
OverallIve had these gloves for a couple of seasons and love them. The design is great for when you need to use your fingers for tying on, but you want to cover up quickly after. I really like how well the mitt flap holders work. You are able to secure them up and never worry about them falling down. They even manage to keep your hands warm after a gentle fish release into cold water soaking the gloves. they are very comfortable and I find myself wearing them even after the morning temps go away and I no longer need them.

- Almost perfect Review by Francis Berube
OverallI used these gloves for the first time this fall on the St-Lawrence river in Quebec, Canada in November and was extremely surprised to see how warm they are. The only thing that is missing to make these a must have, would be the sticky pattern that is on the Flex gloves.
I like this product so much that I would not hesitate to buy a new pair this winter if they would come with the sticky pattern.
The reason for this is simply that handling a fishing pole without the sticky stuff is not that easy. with these because you can't keep a good grip on the pole and the reel.
Keep it up

- Stop trying to decide; just buy them Review by FlyGuru
OverallReally, you'll thank me and you don't even know me. I've had many gloves, even Chilean alpaca in the same design. Nope. Not even close to these. Worth twice their cost and I'm not exaggerating.

- great gloves Review by Gnatbagger
OverallJust returned from fishing in Colorado and these are the best gloves I have ever used. Found no problems with seams tearing. Tight fitting so tying flies was simple. Did use the mitten cover because of the cold and no problem controlling the rod and line. Thanks Simms!

- best of the best! Review by Vince
OverallI am going my 3rd season with these mitts and I use them a lot and they never ever leave my truck. I fish in some of the worst conditions possible in Wisconsin and even after you dip your hands in the ice cold water on a freezing night to land a fish your wet hands stay warm and dry quick. These are the best mitts around!

- Love 'em--Just One Suggestion Review by FinAddict--Denver
OverallThe Simms gloves just get better and better. I do a lot of winter fishing and the warmth and fuctionality of these gloves is really good. These are now my main gloves for the winter. I DO have one request: how about moving the pocket for the warmer to the inside top of the mitten over your fingers? It won't be in the way of gripping, shouldn't impede movement, and it's more directly on the fingers.
