Better than sunscreen - with UPF 50 sun protection, this is a great accessory to combat the sun while wearing short sleeve shirts.
At Simms, sun protection is a critical component of our sportswear offering. Through a combination of fabric construction, design and finish, we offer a wide range of clothing that features a minimum UPF of 30 (very good) up to UPF of 50 (excellent). UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure significantly. All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.
Bought these at Joe's Sporting Goods yesterday and went to fishing with them. Zero sun burns and keep my arms nice and cool. Fishing to me is like war so I love the Camo color. I have the bass trucker hat, sungaiter, sunsleeve and solarflex glove all in Camo.

I have been using the sun sleeve for a year now. I am proud to say; that they work great. I fished a tournament last week with 90 degree weather and full sun for 4 days. The sleeves not only keep me from a nasty burn, they keep me cool. Many of my friends always ask me, do you feel hot in those sleeves and my answer is, absolutely not. They keep me feeling cooler in the sun, than I would if I didn't have them on.

The best sun protection product ever made, a world above other sun sleeves. Just one thing: why those horrible colors? The previous ones looked great and now you have the corny tribal look that has been out for almost a decade, corny digital camo because we dont go fishing we're going to war... Come one simms please get your act together, these colors are a really bad move!

Sunsleave fits great, feels cool, and easier than sunscreen. When I drive in the car, I just wear the left one to help protect my arm from the sun.

My husband and many of his friends wear these sleeves fishing along with the mask and gloves. He fishes in several tournaments on the Gulf Coast and is out on the water all day and reapplying sun screen can be a hassle and not always convenient. I fish with him a lot and on one occasion I actually got sun poisoning from being out on the water too long and failed to reapply the sunscreen as needed. So now to the problem I am having. My husband bought me the mask and gloves which I can honestly say is the best thing he has every bought me. I will not get in that boat without them. They are extremely comfortable and not having to worry about sunscreen was awesome. I really enjoyed focusing on fishing and not worrying about the sun and exposure time. The problem I have is I want the sleeves also but I have small arms and the mens sleeves in s/m are to big. It would be nice if Simms would produce a womens line in the mask, gloves and sleeves. We fish too and would like to have access to the same products that you have for men. The mens small gloves are really to big (fingers are too long) but I have figured out a way to work around it because my main focus is keeping the suns rays off my skin. Please consider expanding your line to also include the women anglers out there. We fish just as hard and would love to represent Simms too.

Works great! Stayed nice and cool in 90 degree weather under the sun and didn't have to use sunscreen for the first time. Will be buying different design in near future. I like the camo design but also like the other designs.

I am 5'11" ordered L/XL and they are too short. I wear a Med in Simms StoneCold shirt and a Large in SolarFlex. These sun sleeves stop a little above my wrist. Also a rubber gripper needs to be added to top to prevent slipping.
