Description

The Waterway:

Each year, anglers around the country anxiously await the arrival of summer and, of course, fishing opportunities that come with it. In the west, one trip in particular has become synonymous with this season – floating Montana's Smith River. Those who have floated and camped along its banks understand that fishing is only a small piece of the overall experience. Meandering its way northwest, the Smith flows through towering canyon walls that still bear markings depicting tales from hunters and fisherman from centuries past who, like us, held this land and water in the highest regard. Presently, this treasured watershed faces the threat of a proposed copper mine. As part of Save Our Streams (S.O.S.), we celebrate the Smith River by carrying forward the same love and respect as our ancestors, by protecting it for future generations.

The Organization:

American Rivers protects wild rivers, restores damaged rivers and conserves clean water for people and nature. Since 1973, American Rivers has protected and restored more than 150,000 miles of rivers through advocacy efforts, on-the-ground projects and an annual America’s Most Endangered Rivers® campaign. Through June 2018, while supplies last, $5 of the purchase price of the Save the Smith River t-shirt will support American Rivers’ work to protect the Smith River in Montana, with no maximum limit.

About the Artist:

  1. Warmth and Versatility

    100%

These beanies from SIMMS are great. I have 3 of them now and they are my most used piece of cold weather head gear. The beanies are sized perfectly to wear either as a standalone or over a cap which really gives them a lot of versatility. They are very warm and the colors compliment my SIMMS jackets.
