I don't regret buying this hip packI just got mine this week. Still learning how to use it.
-water proof. (it's airtight, and I hope the quality lasts because I really like this hip pack)
-huge volume to carry lots of stuff. you can pack toilet paper roll and then still have space for water bottles
-super comfy around your hip and it doesn't get in the way while you cast.
-makes a GREAT boat bag since it's water proof. (i'm looking forward to the new 2019 bag. seem's like they improved the opening/closing of the main zipper by giving it a similar magnetic clip like the g4 pro hip pack.)
-lack of mesh pockets and dividers inside
-doesn't come with floatant/shake holder attachments
-no tippet tender with velcro attachments
-and the zipper is incredibly hard to open and close when you first get it. I haven't tried the lube that it came with yet. But i'm looking to get the tippet tender one way or another. It was the main reason why I bought a Simms hip pack.
UpgradeI had the older style for years and finally wore out the zipper. I upgraded to this bag and it's vastly improved. It's a little larger to hold plenty of boxes and a small rain jacket. Favorite features are the velcro tabs that stow away extra straps. Nothing for you line to catch on. My only complaint is I wish there were tabs to grab a hold of when zipping and unzipping the T-Zip. It's pretty stout, so you have to get a hold of the bag pretty well to get it opened. Otherwise very comfortable and love it!
