Materials Developer

The Simms organization is growing and we’re looking to fill the Materials Coordinator position. This is a full-time position based in Bozeman, Montana.

This person will manage the lab dipping process, ensuring the integrity of color across all categories. The position involves executing color for multiple products, managing the flow of information from submission through to finished product, and communication and follow-up with overseas resources.

Additionally, this position will support the Materials Manager through organizational assistance, trim coordination, research and communication with external vendors. Overall output of the Materials team is increased by this person’s key responsibilities, which lead to a more cohesive and product creation.

Outcomes of this role include: 

  • Consistent color through multiple materials and vendors
  • On time commercialization of materials in approved colors
  • Maintaining data base of materials performance standards
  • Assist with greige forecasting and booking
  • Product creation team is informed of material challenges and quality deficiencies
  • Materials Manager is assisted in all aspects of the materials commercialization process

Senior Graphic Designer

The Simms organization is growing and we’re looking to fill the role of Sr. Graphic Designer. This is a full-time position based in Bozeman, Montana. In this role, you will leverage brand guidelines and visual centers to design and adapt creative executions for digital, traditional and retail settings.

Anglers are in constant pursuit; they seek information, motivation and the gear to give them an edge while on the water. Simms delivers products and services that connect anglers to their best days on the water. Simms’ creative team sets the tone for dynamic brand experiences and consumer connections across all aspects of the business. The Sr. Graphic Designer will assist in the development of marketing assets for all Simms channels. While managing the day-to-day design needs, you will partner with internal and external design stakeholders to deliver a premium brand experience.

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Production of adaptive creative solutions leveraging overarching design and brand strategy

Successful candidates should possess: 

  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience; must provide a portfolio and/or work samples that demonstrate this experience
  • An innate appreciation of typography, color, photography and graphic elements, and a desire to enhance consumer brand experiences through design
  • Expert Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign required); working knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive design
  • Strong understanding of digital channels, functionality and associated best practices; hands-on experience designing digital tactics such as emails, microsites and web banners
  • Ability to create collateral, retail signage, and tradeshow items from assets provided in a visual center
  • Proficient production skills – can deliver a variety of production-ready file formats for print and digital tactics
  • Work efficiently and accurately within tight deadlines and with a variety of personalities, all while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Content to produce work conceptualized by others, yet capable of extending provided concepts and assets into new, uncharted deliverables with little oversight.

Executive Assistant

The Simms organization is growing and we’re looking to fill this new position at Simms. This is a full-time, in-house position based in Bozeman, Montana.

In this role, the Executive Assistant provides support for the members of the Executive Team and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining the Executive Team, including the President. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board of directors; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Executive Team including: managing an extremely active calendar of appointments for all of the Executives; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Executive Team, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the Executive Team and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff
  • Works closely and effectively with the Executive Team to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the Executive Team updated
  • Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization, and manages a variety of special projects for the President, some of which may have organizational impact
  • Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures

Successful candidates should possess:

    • Requires an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience supporting C-Level Executives
    • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
    • Expert level written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms
    • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members and external partners

Warehouse Associates

We have several immediate warehouse positions available at our Bozeman Headquarters.  These roles will assist the Shipping/Receiving teams to accurately and efficiently perform functions related to the following areas: inbound shipments, warehousing, stock replenishment fulfillment and outbound shipments. 

      • Duties may include:
      • Unloads, processes and stocks/delivers all inbound shipments accurately and timely
      • Stocks all warehouse inventory in its assigned inventory location utilizing the departments FIFO inventory rotation process
      • Fills and delivers all stock replenishment requests from the production and shipping departments to the appropriate location and within the determined schedule
      • Effectively communicates changes, delays and status with team, supervisor and internal customers
      • Accurately and efficiently pick and pack customer orders for shipment using applicable business systems
      • Follows all safety processes as written in the Safety Manual or as instructed by the supervisor or management

Prior warehouse experience is preferred, but not required.  Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb rolling ladders and be willing to drive a forklift.  Multiple shifts are available. This role does not offer a relocation package.
