Systems Administrator

The Simms organization is growing and we’re looking to fill the position of Systems Administrator. This is a full-time, in-house position based in Bozeman, Montana.

In this role, you will be a key contributor on the IT team and will be responsible for the functionality, support, and optimization of Simms infrastructure and systems.

The role will work closely with both technical and business staff to maintain an optimized technology environment that drives process improvement and empowers our business. Qualified individuals will possess a strong breadth of technical skills and experience.

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Provides domain admin and server support for Windows and for Active Directory
  • Installs, monitors, supports and maintains physical and virtual servers
  • Ensure that production systems are backed up and protected including patches and anti-virus
  • Install, monitor, and support advanced functions of Windows operating systems and related applications, such as Failover Clustering and IIS
  • Monitor and support advanced server applications such as Dynamics NAV, SharePoint, Exchange, Lync, and SQL Server
  • Monitor and support multiple voice systems and their integrations into the environment
  • Procure, deploy, and maintain user workstations, laptops, and virtual desktops with zero-tolerance for data loss and downtime less than 1 day
  • Provide user support across a broad range of devices including workstations and laptops, desktop and mobile phones, and specialized hardware used in manufacturing and distribution operations that will be measured against a help-desk resolution rate

Successful candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems management, computer science, or other technical field
  • 4+ years’ of progressive experience in IT
  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft domain administration and configuration required
  • 2+ years’ experience in general systems administration
  • 3+ years’ experience leading or managing the day to day activities of a help desk / service desk / operations group
  • 2+ years experience managing and configuring service management systems such as HEAT, Remedy, or Altiris (SCSM preferred)
  • 1+ years hands on experience with MSSQL server is preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Exchange administration required
  • 2+ years’ experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V / VMWare preferred)
  • 1+ years’ Cloud infrastructure experience preferred (AWS, Azure, Office365)
  • 1+ years’ experience with telecommunications, PBX systems, SIP, VOIP, and phone systems (S4B or Avaya Preferred)
  • Experience with MSSAS / MSSRS preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience with ERP and business systems (Dynamics NAV preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience with Network, WAN, Firewall (Cisco Preferred)
  • A strong understanding and ability to use and optimize SQL (certifications preferred)
  • Strong communication and teaching skills

Dealer Services Representative

In this role, the Dealer Services Representative will provide superior customer experiences with our retailers at every touch point, creating brand loyalty through expert-level product recommendations, preseason and at-once order management advice and guidance on all things Simms – this is the ‘go to’ for finding solutions for any and all situations that may occur, with a win-win solution as the ultimate goal.

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Provide highest level of customer service in the industry with a positive solution-based answer to all product and service issues
  • Builds a trustworthy relationship with each dealer, helping them be successful through support and education of Simms programs and service
  • Proactively manage open order dollars, focusing on accurate revisions and order release to achieve on-time ship dates
  • Educating and implementing seasonal sales programs and ensuring Simms Dealer Policies are adhered to
  • Efficient, timely, and responsive communication, whether via phone or email
  • Back orders and open orders processed daily and in a timely manner
  • Provides outreach and event support for Retail, dealer and Consumer shows as needed- Includes travel, setup, positive customer interactions, driving sales for and through retailers
  • Ownership &/or Back up for National accounts- Processing Drop Ships, Properly Editing orders to make sure meeting requirements of all National Account Criteria to prevent charge backs and deliver on-time meeting KPI’s, monitors email box and voicemails promptly replying
  • Assist with training new Dealer Services Representatives- train accurate and effective process procedures, communication and support
  • Assist in communication and processing dealer warranty & repair needs for given region
  • Supports Dealers with Custom Branding orders/supports custom branding outages
  • Solution oriented mindset and proactive action to document work flow processes and procedures for CS and Dealer services
  • Support of phones and services across all CS channels

Successful candidates should possess:

  • Strong customer service experience, preferably in the outdoor industry via retail or in-house sales/service
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to problem solve and actively listen with a focus on win-win solutions
  • Capacity to task switch quickly and efficiently, balancing a large inbound phone/email workload
  • Technical aptitude with inventory management systems, Excel and other programs used to track, manage and process orders, product returns and inventory assessment
  • Very fluent keyboard/typing skills and computer/search navigation
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Avid angler and/or outdoorsperson a plus

Pro Services Customer Service Representative

In this role, the Pro Services CSR will provide superior customer experiences with our professional guides, dealers and consumers at every touch point, creating brand loyalty through expert-level product recommendations, advice and guidance on all things Simms – this is the ‘go to’ for finding solutions for any and all situations that may occur, with a win-win solution as the ultimate goal.

This role will work with all types of Simms customers, ranging from Guides to consumers and dealers, handling all inbound order processing, product recommendation and post-sale activities, such as product returns and warranty needs.

Outcomes of this role include:

  • Efficiently handles order fulfillment through all three channels in a timely manner with the highest level of accuracy
  • Able to provide expert-level product knowledge to a variety of anglers, regardless of experience levels, and sell them into the right product based on their personal needs and goals and recommend appropriate care and maintenance
  • Effectively balances a variable workload, shifting when necessary to meet the demands of the Department and company
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism while on the phone or communicating via email
  • Diligently utilizes and understands Simms’ inventory management system as well as individual channel ordering sites and associated features
  • Looks for opportunities to improve overall customer experience by identifying and contributing to process improvements

Successful candidates should possess:
