With the light fading and the current pressing against your legs, it's time to make your last few casts really count. Our Freestone® Z Stockingfoot Waders are your faithful companion from first cast to last. The rugged and breathable four-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ build handles brushy approaches and cold wet weather, while the fit promotes a natural range of motion for negotiating unseen river bottoms. When it comes to the little things that make a difference, the Freestone® Z includes a waterproof front zipper for easy access and quick relief without removing your waders, plus two large fleece-lined hand-warmer pockets to warm up cold fingers. Dual chest pockets keep tools handy and safe with built-in magnetic retainers. Most importantly, these waders keep you dry on the river, day in and day out.
Toray® fabric technology was developed specifically for fishing waders. The QuadraLam™ fabric featured in the Freestone® and Blackfoot™ waders is a heavy-duty engineered fabric with a microporous waterproof coating that utilizes 2-layer coated fabric, a single membrane layer and a tricot backer to offer improved durability.
YKK's AQUASEAL® is a light weight waterproof zipper. Combining Vislon® techonology with a seal in between the zipper elements, AQUASEAL® allows easy and smooth operation with 100% protection against the elements.
Toray® waders are breathable though not as breathable as GORE-TEX®. They do not have the same properties as GORE-TEX® and therefore finding pinholes will not be possible using the alcohol test. Care for Simms wader with Toray® technology then as you would a GORE-TEX® wader. Make sure to dry them out after use and do not wear jeans, and never use a dryer to dry them.
We are not able to replace the feet on Toray® waders. We are only able to put custom feet on GORE-TEX® waders.
Washing - Use a front load machine or hand wash. Use cold water and normal detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you have washed the waders make sure you dry them properly start by drying the inside first. Never put your waders in the dryer, the heat will adversely affect the seam tape on your waders and will void your warranty.

Simms forever, 8/16/2017
I have owned SIMMS wadders for several years. They get used hard and beat up every year during the fall salmon and spring stealhead season. This last year they developed a leak where you do not want a leak !!! Upon returning them to SIMMS for repair I was notified they were not repairable. Simms stood by there warranty and replaced them with no charge and no questions asked. This is why SIMMS now has a loyal customer for life.

Have had freestones in the past with front entry zipper before simms went away from the zipper, and these waders were amazing. Easy to get in and out of and was more than enough wader to fish Montana's waters year round. Had to layer in the middle of the winter otherwise rock solid. Recently sent my pair in to get reconditioned and was told maybe because of the wear may not be able to be reconditiond. Understood this since I've had them for a couple years with 100+ water days. Simms the stand up company they are sent me a new pair of freestones. I cannot say enough about the quality of gear and service provided by simms. Simms gear has always been top quality and never let me down. This just reinforces why I will continue to buy Simms and recomend their products to any fisherman. Thank you Simms you make me a proud Montanain to know we have a company who makes bomb proof gear and stands by the 100. You have another loyal customer for life.
