GORE-TEX® Outerwear Care
Cleaning your GORE-TEX® garments regularly will extend the life of the product. It will also keep them breathable as dirt and oil can clog the GORE-TEX® membrane over time.
It is critical to wash jackets. Natural oils can damage the GORE-TEX® tape and adhesives causing a peeling effect.
Machine wash warm. Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
Remember to zip all pockets and close all Velcro cuffs before washing to prevent any damage caused by the machine.
Tumble dry on warm setting making sure not to use a high heat setting. Drying on warm will actually reactivate the DWR coating.

warmMy go to inclement weather hat. I'm thinking it will last forever.
Good stuffThis is my go to hat in the late fall and winter. I use it mainly fishing for steelhead and winter chinook here in the PNW. When it is cold and windy this hat is money. My buddies call me Elmer Fudd when it is on but they are the ones freezing, not me.
A life saver!Fishing late season in the Kootenay region, with snow on the ground, or for autumn steelhead in Ontario, this hat is always a good choice. The fold down flaps give good ear coverage and also protect the back of my neck. I back it up with a fleece neck gaiter for complete draft blocking. It also sheds cold rain and melting snow. When the day warms up, the flaps fold up on top. Great piece of gear!
Finland / NorwayThe best hat. I have use this in heavy conditions (in arctic ocean, Norway) about 5 years. Good quality. Trust my opinion - thanks :-)
Very good foul weather hatI wear a 7 1/4 size and this hat fits just fine. It is windproof and i like the way the ears are fully covered as is the back of your neckand totally blocks out wind and rain, or snow. I only wish the hat had a bit more insulation in it for brutally cold weather, but down to the high 20s or so it does well. That is why I only gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, it is a keeper.
OUTSTANDING! Made the trip!Wind - Cold - Rain - Non stop for days! Without this hat, I would have stayed in the cabin!
MUST HAVE in your bag!
Best hat ever. Unless you have a smaller head.I bought this hat because a couple buddies swear by it. I fish year round in BC so I need good gear.
This hat is really great unless you have a medium to small head size. I don't wear mine because it's so deep. I goes straight over my eyes. There's an adjustment only for diameter. Not for depth.
excellent design , quality & fitThis is an excellent product. Received it 3 weeks ago, just in time for Maine cold weather. This hat is so warm it you need less outer wear. It is waterproof & wind proof. I plan to give exstream hat for Christmas gifts.
PerfectAbsolutely the best hat for cold, wet, windy weather. Built extremely well and will last. Fit is very comfortable. absolutely worth every penny!
Another great product from SimmsIf you're into glamour and fashionable looks, this hat is not for you. When I put it on, for instance, I always make my wife laugh. However, in adverse weather contiditions, it's the best thing since sliced bread. Doesn't matter how cold the wind is - your ears will stay warm and comfortable.
The Absolute BestI've use this hat for EVERYTHING and there is nothing on the market, 'beanie' or otherwise which will keep you head as warm on the stream as this hat. The thing about this hat is that the 'bill' cuts the wind and that makes a big big difference if you fishing where the wind is blowing. I've tried just using beanie caps and even though they insulate the head, they don't stop the wind. This hat is worth every penny.......
