Stellarafter going through 3 pair of "rack pliers" and breaking one right after opening the package, these have withstood a year of heavy use on all types of saltwater fish from Tarpon to Trout. Absolutely love these.
Pliers Okay, Sheath TerriblePliers get a 3 star. I prefer there be two available sizes, as for my needs offshore and unleashing big kings, they need a little more to them. Also, the line clipper doesn't allow for mono to be slid all the way back in the cutter. Why these are machined with a little notch in the back of the cutter is beyond me, it forces you to have to position your line perfectly before cutting. Lightweight though, and precision jaws are a huge plus
The sheath gets 2 *'s . The belt loop is too big, and leaves the fliers floppy on your belt. And my biggest pet peeve, they don't 'snap', or 'click in'. The pliers literally rest in the sheath and very easily get knocked out. Very frustrating.
Keep working on the pliers, they have potential, but definitely room for development at this point.
Absolutely a DreamAfter suffering through the rest, lesser pliers, these have exceeded my expectations. My clients try to buy them from me once they see the quality of construction, and the awesome Kydex Case. Easy to justify the price after breaking two pair of lesser pliers on the same fish, one of which was brand new.
