Boa® Boot Care
If using in saltwater always clean and rinse to prevent corrosion.
Use a brush to remove dust and dirt. Choose an old vegetable brush or toothbrush. Do not use bar soap or detergents.
Do not place wet boots close to a heat source (fireplace, campfire, wood stove, radiator, heater, sunny windowsill) as this can weaken adhesives and cause materials to become brittle or shrink.
Dry using natural methods (air dry) and try to keep them out of the sun for long periods of time. Boots dry faster when positioned upside-down. If desired, stuff a sheet or two of newspaper into each boot to absorb moisture. Change the paper each hour.
If you see any mold on your boots, brush in a mixture of 80% water and 20% vinegar.
Store boots in a place where temperatures are stable and normal. Do not store footwear in attics, garages, car trunks or any unventilated spaces.
Never put boots in washing machine.
Boa® Closure System Care:
We recommend regular cleaning of the eyelets and reel mechanism to prevent sand and silt from prematurely wearing on the cables. Use the tool provided to remove the reel and rinse thoroughly on a regular basis. This will ensure a long life for your Boa® system.
Boa® cables will need replacing over time just like a normal lacing system.
Boa® replacement cables are available on the Simms website or you can purchase spares at most fly shops. Always a good idea especially on destination trips.
Men's Wading Boot Size Chart
To allow proper room for the neoprene stockingfoot, find your regular shoe size in the right-hand columns and order the corresponding Simms Boot in the first column. This will typically be one size up from your normal shoe size for men and one size down for women (ie: a women's USA size 8 would take a men's boot size 7).
(Simms Boot size 5 will fit a Youth Size 4, etc.)
Not all styles available in all sizes; please see individual boot for size specifics

Pricey but checks all my boxesThese replaced an old pair of Cloudveil felt sole boots that were hammering my feet on long hikes. Fitted out a variety of Simms and Korkers in my search and the BOA provided the best fit and comfort. Based on price they were not my first choice.
About a dozen full days use in 2 1/2 months with multiple Cheesman hikes. Very good all day comfort. Felt was my first choice but wasn't available from my local shop. I studded the bottom with Kold Kutter studs and I'm happy with the traction so far in the S. Platte and Arkansas. Not quite the traction of my old felt boot. Would like to try the Simms aluminum traction at some point. Vibram soled version is definitely better for hiking and clambering around on the stream side surfaces.
BOA is supper easy to use and I really like the quick exit compared to laces. I've used BOA closures for years and I've never had a failure in the field. Replacement parts are readily available ahead of time from BOA for free if you take the time to wade through their warranty info.
Comfy, durable, couldn’t be happierI recently bought these from my local pro shop and they recommended them. I was leaning towards so Korkers at first but I knew Simms were dependable. I have been out in the river and I can say, these are a very good purchase. I love the fit, the boa system is excellent and quick, and they drain easily. Thank you for a quality product! I will be buying the headwater waders once my old pair is done for!
