GORE-TEX® Outerwear Care

Cleaning your GORE-TEX® garments regularly will extend the life of the product. It will also keep them breathable as dirt and oil can clog the GORE-TEX® membrane over time.

It is critical to wash jackets. Natural oils can damage the GORE-TEX® tape and adhesives causing a peeling effect.

Machine wash warm. Do not use fabric softener or bleach.

Remember to zip all pockets and close all Velcro cuffs before washing to prevent any damage caused by the machine.

Tumble dry on warm setting making sure not to use a high heat setting. Drying on warm will actually reactivate the DWR coating.

  1. Must Own for year round fishermen

I live in ND and we face the gamet of weather. I wear these bibs from ice out to ice over. From 10 degree mornings through 100+ degree days. Wind, Rain, or Shine they handle it all. The zip down sides allow me use them on those hot summer days by cracking a side. We literally had 40-60 degree temp swings between weeks last year it was crazy. One thing I could count on is always being ready for any weather condition. If you fish a lot and in tough conditions make no hesitation on the price of entry here they are worth every penny and then some.

Incredibly comfortable, breathable and durable. I put in over 100+ Days last open water season with mine and they are just as good as day 1.
  2. Pro Dry Suit.. The Best!!

Guiding over 100 days in the elements of Northern Mn/Canada on Rainy Lake these keep me warm and dry! I like the fit of the bibs and coat. When it's cold I add a simms layer under the coat and I am toasty all day!
  3. After 2 years Leaking Bad

I LOVED these bibs. Until a few weeks ago. Leaking bad in crotch area. I’ve followed all instructions as far as washing. Only used for salt water fishing. Mainly offshore. Calling Simms tomorrow. Hopefully they will work something out.

Sorry to hear your bibs let you down after two years. Typically this is the time we'd suggest washing your Gore-Tex outerwear as accumulated grime can restrict the pores that make such garments breathable and trap water on the inside (vs letting water in from the outside). This doesn't sound like the problem in your case. Please contact us and we'll take a look at the bibs and see what we can do for you.
  4. These bibs are the best

I have used these bibs in some tough situations. They keep you dry, and they keep the wind off. The pockets are in the perfect spots, the zippers work always, they are obviously made by people who use them. I would not change a thing about them. Great gear allows you to keep doing what you came for. When I have an important trip planned my Simms is the first gear in my bag.
  5. Best Rain Gear Period.

    Lightweight and Waterproof.
The wonderful shoulder straps save on Neck and Back Strain.
Perfectly articulated fit makes for full mobility when battling giants .

These things are absolutely awesome. Perfect fit, plenty of room, and thoughtful pockets and zipper setups. I have had no water or wind lead through these bibs and I highly recommend them for any angler.
  7. Great Product

Hands down the best I've owned.
  8. Survives the Northeast

I have had these since they were first introduced and have survived the cold northeast temps as well as stellwagon tuna runs. They have held up extremely well and have had no leaks to date. They stay on my boat all season long, have not been washed since they came out of the box and salt has not impacted the product, even though I am sure it's not recommended. If you need a lighter pair of bibs to keep in your bag, this is a great purchase.
