GORE-TEX® Outerwear Care
Cleaning your GORE-TEX® garments regularly will extend the life of the product. It will also keep them breathable as dirt and oil can clog the GORE-TEX® membrane over time.
It is critical to wash jackets. Natural oils can damage the GORE-TEX® tape and adhesives causing a peeling effect.
Machine wash warm. Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
Remember to zip all pockets and close all Velcro cuffs before washing to prevent any damage caused by the machine.
Tumble dry on warm setting making sure not to use a high heat setting. Drying on warm will actually reactivate the DWR coating.

Incredible For All WeatherThe Pro-Dry line is hands down the best gear I have worn. It's so light, breathable and comfortable. We face some ridiculous weather from week to week... massive cold fronts, hot spells, rain or relentless winds. The Pro-Dry line handles it all and allows us to be comfortable while we are chasing our walleye and making it not only comfortable but enjoyable to be out there because we aren't miserable being wet, hot, cold or anything inbetween. Don't let the weather keep you off the weather... order now.
PRO DRY EH!I have fished for 30+ years in all kinds of weather, and if your reading these reviews and wondering if you should - the answer is yes. This jacket is very expensive yes this was my first rain jacket that cost more then 200, never mind 500 but it is worth it. Period. It sounds bad but I just laugh inside when I get back to a boat ramp and guys are saying its so wet there soaked through there rain gear...… uh ya , not here. I now understand why guys swear by Simms.
I don't go on a trip without this jacketI have owned this jacket and bibs for several years now. I have used it hard and it still looks new. I have stood in rain so intense you could not hear the guys around you laughing. I have run for hours at 60 mph to get to the first spot in the morning. No wind, no rain has ever penetrated this jacket. If it ever dies I will immediately buy another one. If your time on the water is important to you, this jacket will get you more of it.
THE PERFECT JACKET!This jacket is absolutely awesome. Perfect fit, plenty of room, and thoughtful pockets and zipper setups. I have had no water or wind lead through these bibs and I highly recommend them for any angler. Combined with the bibs, you have no excuse to not be on the water.
Pro Dry JacketThis jacket has been perfect for South Florida. Wether in the keys or fishing my home waters of the Northern Everglades this jacket does it all. Not to hot when its August and poring rain, not to cold when a northern front pushes into the area during winter.
Worldwide winnerFished in this jacket all over the globe in all conditions and environments. An absolute beast. Maybe the best fishing jacket ever!
Lightweight / Quality!I have used the Prodry Jacket for over a year now and it's a must have for the serious angler. great features and great quality!
Amazing ProductPhenomenal jacket! The perfect match for the bibs. The best jacket purchase decision I've made.
Not as good as it should beWore mine yesterday for the 1st time in heavy rain. Phone in left hand chest zipped-up pocket - soaked. Car keys/blipper in right hand zipped-up pocket - soaked. Sunglasses in soft case in lower zipped up-pocket - soaked.
If i wanted a jacket that performs that badly, I cold have got one for $50 not $500! Money wasted as far as I'm concerned, if I could take it back, I would. I was thining about using it for salt water too but it would have wrecked my phone if the pockets got splashed with salt water.
Simms, I'd like to hear your response please.
And, what's the point of a retained glasses cleaning cloth in one of the pockets which gets wet when it rains? Or a sight glass for your watch, which steams up?
Walking billboardI have heard that this product is exceptional. Can I get one without the SIMMS written on the back? I have no problem spending 500 for a jacket but do not want to be a walking billboard.
Best shell I have ever triedThis is a great jacket. From the start I had very high expectations on this piece due to brand name, material and price. My expectations were exceeded. The jacket is light, good looking, branding is more low key and its absolutely water tight. I tried it out in really heavy rain and wind for about an hour and it kept me 100% dry.
As with other Simms products I have ordered in the past, I found the sizes to be very large. If you are a Large, my suggestion is to order a Medium. It fits me perfectly and with room to fit a fleece layer underneath.
All in all, very high quality stuff Simms (& Gore Tex).
