I love Simms products and I’m keeping this jacket even though the sleeves on this jacket are shorter than their other jackets. This is my 5th Simms jacket I have purchased in the past few years and the sleeves on this one are 2+ inches too short for my arm length even though I wear a XXL (feels like the arm length of “L”. I have many Simms jackets and this is the only one with that issue. Perhaps it will help keep my sleeves dry while I grab those fall run trout or steelhead I’m going to be catching with it on.
[Response from Simms Customer Care Team] - Thanks for the feedback Charlie. We're sorry you're having issues with the sleeve length. We have passed the information on the product team. We appreciate the positive spin and wish you the best of luck chasing those steelhead.

I received my fall run jacket today and haven't taken it off, I think I'll sleep in it tonight. It's very stylish, light weight, comfortable and warm. This will be perfect for my steel head trip in 2 weeks. I bought the one in Navy, I love the orange accent on the inside of the zipper and the gray inside. Love this jacket, thanks Simms for making great quality products!!

I purchased this jacket from a online retailer. Couldn't wait till I got it! What a huge disappointment! I have purchased quite a few Simms products over the years. Loved everyone of them. Boots, waders, jackets, shirts etc. The fall run jacket does not live up to the Simms quality in my opinion. It just looks cheap! The SIMMS letters are a cheap decal that's hard to see. The fish logo on the back is another cheap looking decal. They used to have nice stuff. What happened? This could be the last SIMMS product I buy.

I can't say enough good things about this jacket. I also have the Fall Run vest and the option to use either one or both covers virtually any conditions. They are WAY warmer than you would expect from looking at them. Plus, they are so light and packable they can be easily stowed in a fishing vest pouch. Both worn together over a fleece top and under a rain jacket will keep you warm in all but weather that's too cold for fishing. (For me, that's when the line starts freezing in the rod guides.)
I'm on year 3, wear them all the time (fishing or not), have washed them many times and they're still good as new. Solid 5-star product.

Picked up this jacket over the holidays and have only taken it off to sleep - not exaggerating. It is incredibly lightweight and comfortable, yet very warm. Perhaps most of all, I am very impressed by how wind resistant the it is. It blocks wind as well if not better than jackets that are much thicker and heavier.
It also seems to be as tough as it is functional. I botched a forward cast this past weekend and ended up with a #6 Crystal Wooly Bugger stuck in the back right shoulder of the jacket. My heart sank as I imagined what I've seen happen with small holes in down jackets - feathers/insulation everywhere. Once I removed the hook I was very surprised that the hole became invisible and no insulation was being lost. That was three days ago, and you'd never know it happened.
All in all, I highly recommend this jacket. It's as great around town as it is on the water or even around the house.

This past Summer, I carried this jacket on 45 days of guiding alpine anglers. Light, warm, and very compressible, it is the perfect extra layer for when the rain turns to grauppel at 12,000' . It has also become my go-to layer for the Winter trips I do on the Arkansas, Fryingpan, South Platte, and Taylor rivers near my home. When worn between my wicking layers and guide jacket, the Fall Run gives me a bomb-proof warmth. When worn as the outer layer, the Colo winds lose their edge. Highly recommended!

Purchased this jacket while visiting in Richmond, VA and put it to use that evening with temperatures in the mid 20"s. I cannot believe how warm this jacket is and how is stops the wind. Cannot wait to utilize on the Chagrin River near Cleveland.
