Defy a deluge in this lightweight wet-weather contender Simms' lightweight, highly breathable Riffle Jacket keeps anglers dry in a deluge thanks to 3-layer Toray® waterproof/breathable fabric. Clean architecture minimizes line catch points, while pass-through hand-warmer pockets relieve frozen fingers and allow access to waders that lie beneath. Two internal chest pockets add capacity for large fly boxes. And a water-resistant easy cinch Velcro® cuff closure system locks out moisture and wind for inspired performance, wherever you choose to dive in and stay dry.
Toray® fabric technology was developed specifically for fishing waders. The QuadraLam™ fabric featured in the Freestone® and Blackfoot™ waders is a heavy-duty engineered fabric with a microporous waterproof coating that utilizes 2-layer coated fabric, a single membrane layer and a tricot backer to offer improved durability.
The AquaGuard® VISLON® zipper is a revolutionary new design from the global leader in containment closures. The AquaGuard® VISLON® zipper's new tooth design provides enhanced fluid repellency vs. coil or standard individual element closures, while increasing the number of design and color options for your application.
Washing - Machine wash gentle cycle or hand wash.
Use cold water and normal detergent that does not contain bleach.
Tumble dry low to reactivate DWR treatment.

I can't say enough good things about this jacket. Waterproof, comfortable, convenient pockets, etc. I used it for Lake Erie steelhead fishing, and I stayed dry and warm during the wet weather. The chest pockets hold anything, leaders, fly boxes, gloves, smaller tools, indicators, and whatever you need at hand during the day. I do wish there were handwarmer pockets, but what isn't a big deal if you have a good pair of gloves.

Satisfied with this jacket, comfy, lightweight, wish there was a few more pockets but i like it for early morning runs in the boat.

I use this from the mangroves, the Amazon, to trout fishing. It works perfectly everywhere. Even under thunderstorms in the Amazon.

A $250 rain jacket should have a water-proof cuff, not a velcro tab closure. Try casting with your hands down sometime to keep the water from running down your sleeve. A brand like Simms should know better. And I will think twice before my next Simms purchase.
Period end of story.
