A requisite layering piece from Simms' Montana Wool collection, the new Techwool Zip Top uses local ranch and farm sourced wool fibers for a moisture-dumping, heat-holding beast true to the company's Made in Montana roots. The clean-wearing top features insulation against the elements thanks to 21-micron wool fibers, while a fleece-lined collar and flatlock stitching provide ultimate next-to-skin comfort for versatile performance on and off the river.

Was suggested from a pro guide and he was right. They are warm in 40 degrees and worth the money for warm and comfort. You have to have the warm now while fishing and not wish you have them. Get them now and your trip will not be spoil. I strongly believe in having the correct gears while I fish and hunt. But them

It's still a bit warm in Southwest Louisiana for Tech Wool but it really has a quality fit and finish, ordered the large and it fits prefect. Will give a more detailed review when it gets cold enough to wear while wading.

Just bought my second one of these- they are very warm, but the big draw for me is comfort. I find myself wearing it at home in the winter. Well made, good fit, great product.

Got this last week, Fished in 25 degree weather while the dam wind was ripping. Had this on over my base layer, with my simms hoody
and wind stopper. All I can say it was awesome. I looked over at my buddies bundled up so much they could hardly move and here I was warm and could move at ease. They did a great job with this.
Awesome product as always!!!

Got this for myself. Nothing wrong with it. Nice fabric, don't really see the price tag tho. Seems overpriced.

The first thing that got my attention with the Montana TechWool Zip Top was the "Made in America" logo—not implying at all that other countries don't make great products; however, it's just nice to see high quality products sourced and manufactured here. Maybe I'm not the only one here, but I give strong consideration to such products.
With haunting memories of the itchy holiday wool sweater of the past, this zip top redefines the next-to-skin comfort that wool can provide. In addition to it's comfort, it's extremely warm for such a deceivingly thin garment; breaths great too!
If you're on the fence with this garment or seem to be missing a high quality wool layering piece from your collection of synthetics, I highly recommend you give it a go.

Little skeptical when first received mont wool pullover. Little light in the wieght and first impression was overpriced fleece. Man was I wrong! Wornen indoors over long sleeved cotten tee started to wonder if someone had draped an electric blanket over me. Outside with hoody in high winds and temps at -15 was plenty comfortable. Real deal and worth every penny. Kudos simms!

This is the first ever wool product that i put on with absolutely no itch. I have worn merino from all the top brands and there is always a hint of itch. This feels and looks like fleece. I look forward to wearing this a much as I can. I am a large and it fits comfortably, not form fitting like some stuff. Great Quality at a good price.

I buy nothing but Simms and Patagonia products for fall and winter fishing. I fish in all kinds of extreme weather and temperatures from 0 to 50 degrees, rain, snow, sleet, wind. I have several SIMMS sweaters, guidetops, and other apparel. They last forever. This is a very good product for warmth and comfort. One recommendation would be to put a Velcro strap on the wrist.. they feel a little loose in comparison to a lot of other simms products I wear. I personally prefer the wrist area to be a little tighter. Very Good product, but will decide it its worth the money once I wear it in extreme conditions. Sub 20 temperatures.

Topped with your Simms Guide fleece and underneath with the Marino wool underwear top this shirt keeps me toasty warm all day in the cold & wet Pacific Northwest winter climate when steelhead fishing. The zip collar keeps warmth inside plus the Montana Tech wool top allows comfortable freedom to cast and is easy to wash..
