I bought this vest to wear under my Simms Windproof Jacket and it fills the bill perfectly.
The fabric is great. so far all of the stitching is intact. I bought a jacket like this from an on-line competitor and it has threads hanging out all over.
The fact the vest isn't bulky but still warm is a great asset.

Soft, light, and quiet fabric with a nice thin insulating material without bulk. Great fabric backed zippers. I really like the chest pocket and the hand pockets are also nice and deep. My wife likes it so I can wear it for "dressy occasions" too.

Saw it on the rack and loved the blue with orange colors. Aside from looks and lightweight comfort, it is a great way to keep your core warm. It does what it claims, unbelievable warmth for its weight! I also think the chest pocket is extremely convenient.

This vest was a life saver out in Alaska this year! The fall run vest should be in every ones back pack as a extra warm piece of clothing. I used this vest pretty much every day out here in Alaska over the Simms zip up hoody, with my guide jacket by Simms and stayed so warm on those foggy brisk mornings. Running the boats out there I never was cold wearing that vest, and on the hike outs it folded right up into my back pack as extra clothing and when it got cold put it on and almost every time hiking out I would take it off because I would get so warm. It's very light weight and not bulky very comfortable.
