- Love it Review by sam
OverallI got this vest over the summer, fly fishing in the Rockies. we were hiking for hours to get to are fishing streams and my chest pack was not working, for the amount of stuff I wanted to bring. such as all my fishing gear and food and water. so I went down to the local fly store and got this vest and never put my chest pack back on. I love it and I carry 2 extra spools with me for my reel and the inside pockets are perfect for them. now I'm back in Oklahoma fishing my local rivers I can't even imagine going in to the river with out it.

- Excellent vest well worth the money Review by Joe m
OverallAfter my fishing vest of 20 years died I began looking at others. The three of four others that I looked at were not well designed. He also seemed flimsy and to be honest cheaply constructed. Simms is a little bit more expensive but well worth it. I love my new vests and it fits everything perfectly.

- "excellent vest" Review by chuck
Overalli'd like to comment on the first review for this vest. the way the person is describing is he only give the vest 3 stars because his extra spools wont fit in the outer pockets. well maybe that's because this vest is not made to hold extra spools. this is a fly fishing vest made to hold streamside accessories, fly boxes, tippet, leader, etc. perhaps you should think next time before you write a review on something your bashing when it's not simms falt because they didn't accomidate your special requirements. "not to worry all, this vest is one of the best gude vest's simms ever produced. nice job simms

- what the Guide vest needs next ! Review by Mr Big
Overalllike to give this vest five stars but only give it three, why?
when I fish I'm always fishing one reel and carrying 2 spools with different sink rate lines. I like to place them in the two outer pockets on lower front velcro pockets I 'm fishing waterworks F3X reels they don't fit in the pockets.
the Vision caribou is a copy of this vest and they have modified these pockets to be larger and the waterworks F3X fits , they have achieved this buy making the inner lower front velcro pockets smaller and the outer larger, not having four equal sized front pockets, I hope Simms will catch on to this improvement for I like to buy Simms its a better quality product, should Simms make the modification to the pockets it can be done to all there vests resulting in an improvement across the range increasing sales for sure.
