For over two decades, Capt. Bruce Chard has made his love and commitment to fly fishing abundantly clear through his countless accomplishments within the industry. Chard is a published writer/photographer himself and most recently inked a contract with Stackpole Books to write his first fly fishing book. He was also seen in the Palalo Worm Hatch segment of the full length fly fishing film Rise by Confluence Films. At only 41 years old, Chard has accomplished a lifetime of successes in both the development of the fly fishing industry as well as game changing flats fishing techniques, fly patterns and equipment including an award winning series of fly lines. Chard’s achievements have not only taken place on the water. Chard served on the board of the Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA), regularly participates in BTT (Bonefish & Tarpon Trust) tagging and conservation efforts, is a highly sought after speaker, and a top advisory staff member or ambassador for 10 prominent fly fishing brands.
