Yellowstone National Park sees more than 3 million gawking civilians a season. The good news is there's more than 1,000 miles of untrammeled trail to seek solace. When it's time push past the concrete, wrap your favorite feet in the full cushioning of this best-in-class Wading Sock. Premium Merino wool retains warmth and wicks moisture with aplomb, while the 11-inch overall leg length - slightly shorter than the ExStream™ Sock - reduces weight and makes for prime packability.
I have 2 pairs of these socks. They are the absolute best I ever had. The wool is soft, does not bunch up and they stay in place. I do not like the cold weather at all and these are my go to socks for winter fishing, shoveling snow, etc.

I bought these along with the liner sock as suggested by, well, everyone after getting back into fly fishing. My area is known for Steelhead fishing in the fall through winter when the creeks aren't froze over. During the fall these seem to work very well with water temps in the high 40's- low 50's, my feet stayed very warm and with new higher end waders they remained dry. I finally got a chance to use them the other day now that one creek was flowing. I did not wear the liner sock this time but within a couple hours my toes were like ice! I tried walking around and hitting holes only for a couple minutes then moving again but it became too painful to hardly walk so I had to leave. My feet never warmed up until late that night. I'm beginning to think it's just me. I've tried several kinds of socks and these have one of the highest wool blends I've found. They are very comfortable, even around the house. Aside from piping hot water to my feet I think I'm going to have to deal with it. Maybe trying the thinner pair might work.

These socks are warm, comfortable, have the right amount of stretch and height. I ordered a second pair.

I bought a pair to wear under my SIMMS Guard socks for wet wading like the Fly Shop Pro they said they were made for. The Wool in the socks make it so hard to get into the neoprene Guard sock I was out of breath and knew this was a design flaw when I tried to remove my foot back out it took even longer and had to peel them down with my other foot. As for the Sock on its own its awesome and well made and very warm and comfortable and I will wear them with my hikers and around the cabin on cold winter nights. Just bummed I can't use with the Neoprene Guard sock

Thanks Tom. I've never tried to wear this sock with my Guard socks but would imagine I would have the same problem you did. My guard socks run a little tighter than the neoprene booties on my waders. I usually wear the liner sock with my guard socks because they are thinner, allowing me to slip in out easier. I was fishing a few years back, took a spill, broke my reel, and filled my waders with water(in February). Soaked and refusing to quit for the day I went to the local tackle shop fixed my reel, and bought a pair of these socks and a pair of Simms fleece wading pants, I've never been this comfortable in any other of my fishing/outdoor clothing!!!
I now wear this gear for all outdoor activities, fishing, hunting, working in the bush etc. I wish I could give 10 stars!!!

Wearing them for the first time today, will have to wait and see how they hold up after washing but the fit is great! I like the somewhat harder finished weave on the outside, think it will repel rain, minor splashes well when being used with low cut shoes instead of inside waders. One day wearing and I'm already thinking of buying more!

I wear these socks for every outdoor adventure, whether it is in the water or woods. They are also very nice around the house.

I yet to try them in the water for a real test. But they do fit perfectly and I'll hit Silverwood later this fall & winter. My wife always steals my socks in the winter (cold feet) so I will have steal them back when i go fishing later this year. These socks have a greet feel to them, soft but not to thick.
