An old favorite updated for long-term performance.

  • Grip design on palms
  • Self‐fabric rib‐knit cuff
FABRIC TECH: 100% wool

  • Merino wool is exceptional for performance outdoor wear because the fabric is excellent at regulating body temperature by keeping you warm on cold days and cooler on warm days. It has an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio compared to other wools, in part because the smaller fibers trap body heat. It draws moisture (sweat) away from the skin to provide excellent moisture management, the wool fiber absorbs and releases 10X the moisture of synthetic fibers. The extrafine fibers of Merino wool offer comfortable, no shrink next-to-skin layering without itch or odor.

Glove Care

Hand wash using cool water and a mild detergent designated for wool. Rinse well in cool water and roll gently in a thick towel to absorb most of the moisture. Lay flat to dry.

Worked great

Tom, 1/12/2016

Fly fished in 32 degree weather with 10 mph wind, kept hands warm. Caught and released several fish, Gloves got wet on the release and still kept hands warm even when wet

Fantastic Glove

HejletsGO, 10/15/2015

Just returned from a camping/fishing trip. Used these gloves both mornings with temps in the 30s. Hands were nice and warm, and did not interfere with my grip. Held there shape after washing the fish and mud off them to boot. Job well done Simms!

Wool is where it's at

Excellent glove that insulates while wet. I guide in Wyoming with low temperatures and wind, these gloves continue to keep my hands warm in nasty conditions. Buy them u won't be sorry.

Great warmth for cold days in the field

Seth, 9/12/2014

These gloves are great! I spend a lot of time on the water for work and play and these gloves keep my hands and fingertips warm for maintaining dexterity while operating equipment, taking notes, or tying on nymphs. They have also proven themselves durable. I even wear them during the winter when hunting.

39degrees and pouring all day. My gloves were soaked and I still can not believe how warm they kept my hands when wet.

A reel gem

jaybo41, 11/8/2012

For the price, you will be hard pressed to find a better performing glove. They keep you warm on the coldest of days and regulate heat better than any synthetic glove will. I have worn these in the rain, snow, sleet and my hands have always been warm enough. Even when wet, they insulate your hands. They dry out fairly easy. Another excellent product from Simms. I'd give them a 10 if I could.

A little small for big guys

Dustin Kovacvich - Terrace BC Canada, 7/17/2012

These gloves are a great design concept and the best made fingerless wool gloves I have ever used. Only problem being that I am a 6'6" 285 lb man, I find the XL/L size a little small on my oversived meat hooks. It would be nice if Simms offered these gloves in one size larger. If your a normal size guy who fishes Steelhead get these gloves.

Great back-up glove for the waders or pack.

Yukon_fly Yukon, Canada, 7/17/2012

I bought a pair of the half-finger gloves to keep as a spare in my drift boat or pack. I've found that they are both durable and comfortable (I've even worn them while rowing and can attest that they hold up!). Great product! As an aside, I found that they offer fantastic grip when landing or holding larger fish (steelhead / salmon) you are planning on releasing. Next best thing to a landing net!

warmth when wet

Phillip - Kitimat,BC, Canada, 7/17/2012

I love these gloves! I spend allot of personal hours winter fishing cutthroat and steelhead. These are great on those wet snow days, they wont keep you dry but they will keep your hands warm.
