Size up oneTried these for the first time for a flats wading trip. I’m a size 10 and felt that the size 10 was too tight. Toes were pushed too close to edge.
Upped 1 size to an 11. Wore these guys on an all day wading trip trudging through soft muck. Zero issues. Feet felt comfortable, no blisters etc.
I did not wear a wading sock either. On deck they were warm, in the 75 degree water they were perfect.
Read about complaints of the zipper getting stuck. I just rinsed them off in the salt water and had no issues at all.
Worth every pennyVery rarely do I write reviews but these booties deserved one. I have tried the rest of the similar booties from other brands and haven’t been satisfied. I purchased these last minute for a bonefish trip with sand bottom, sea grass and shells. These booties far surpassed my expectations and I was able to wade a lot longer and further due to my feet not being fatigued. I pared these boots with the Simms wading bootie socks and it’s the perfect combo. They run true to size in my opinion. I am a size 12 and the size 12 fit but I upsized to 13s so I could wear the socks with the booties.
Size too small!I found that I needed 2 sizes bigger if I planned to wear socks. Glad the guy helping knew about the size. The zipper also gets stuck when wading in fine sand. Found it helps to put wax over the zipper after I’ve put it on.
Great carp flats boot!I bought these to fish for carp in Montana's muddy reservoirs. I was looking for a boot that would keep the fine silt out, did not have lots of tread that traps mud, and would work for paddleboarding. They worked great on all accounts. Quality construction and held up very well this season in high-alkaline waters. I thought the sizing was true, as I generally wear a size 11 skate shoe, and the size 11 booties fit great.
way too small and tightThese are great boots but you need to order at least a size bigger than your shoe size, even a size and a half if you can.
I stripped out all the insole materials and got it so that i could wade for an hour or two and then fished from the boat in bare feet which is my preference
Did not cut it in CXI2 weeks in Christmas Island and these were trashed. They were reasonably comfortable (I say about a 1/2 size small). Could daily see them wearing down until they wore thru in the heel. I should have taken a photo. Probably good for softer non-coral bottoms. These are too soft for serious walking

Thank you for your review, CXI. You are correct, these booties designed for sand flats rather than coral bottoms. Please feel free to contact us at 1-800-217-4667 with any questions you may have.
GREAT...again..Love it! Bootie is getting a great deal of use on sand and softer bottoms as well....great traction and no slip from suction of the of the softer muddy areas. Love the wider toe just like the Mariner shoes I have...so so comfortable for the hours of wading I do here in FL. When done at waters edge, quick shake of my legs clears zipper of sand and off they go. Another great product guys and gals. Tight lines!
Good quality but liner aggravatingBoogie has a "liner" on bottom or maybe called and in-sole. Every time the boot is removed this thing dislodges and requires a wrestling match to put back in. If not in correctly must start process all over again. Not sure why it's in there. Otherwise great quality. Tough sole. Zipper no problem but I always rinse with fresh water.
Bit disappointed. A redesign without insole and it would be great boot.
Great flats boots, some fit challengesHave tried them on the flats in ascension bay and they worked great so far. Like some other reviewers I found they fit very tight. I wear size 11 street shoe, ordered 12 to wear with thin wading socks, but can only wear socks if the insoles are removed. I would order two sizes up if I was to do it again
Great boots!I purchased this boots a year ago and will never buy another "cheap" pair of neoprene wading boots again. They are great for wading the bay's along Texas' coast. I fish over 100 days a year and 99% of that is wading. These boots have stood up to the abuse and I give them 5 stars. They are not overly heavy, supply ample arch support, and are super comfortable. Addressing the "zipper sticking" problem, after each outing, I wash off with fresh water, then once dry, spray a stream of rem-oil or any other oil. The zipper stays smooth. The only issue I have had is the Velcro strap over the zipper. When wading mud, it will detach, but it's no problem to me. If your thinking about getting them, you can't go wrong with these.
Comfy wading bootsThese are the most comfortable wading shoes I have found. I especially like the wider toe area compared to others that almost come to a point and crowd your foot. I have had mine 2 years and they are going strong. Great wading boot!
Perfect for Tailing Redfish in the LowcountryAfter walking the grass flats barefoot for a while I got tired of the occasional spartina stalk or crab/shell getting the bottom of my foot. I bought these and they obviously made a huge difference. The soles of these booties are very tough but somehow they are still extremely comfortable. After wading around for awhile I forgot I had them on. They allowed me to stop thinking about the best place to put my feet and focus 100% on making the perfect cast to that spotted tail breaking the surface in front of me.
Well-made but tight...Well-constructed & definitely well-designed but I found them tight in size. I am always a perfect size 10 in footwear but these booties will require me to re-order a size 11. I walk rocky beaches in the Northeast US & look forward to wearing a pair of these Booties which fit me more comfortably.

Hi EddC. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 888.585.3570. Let's see if we can do an exchange.
Small!!!!!These are great flats wading boots, but they run really small. I wear a size 11 shoe and have tried sizes 11 and 12 and both are really tight. This is with a relatively thin sock (just thick enough to keep the doctor flies from biting through). I have ordered a size 13 and hope they will fit.
Comfortable but problems with zipperThe bootie is very comfortable and easy to walk the flats in Andros. They would have received 5 stars except the zippers became stuck each time I wore them. Sand would jam them and I would have to slide them off. Flushing them with fresh water would eventually free them up.
Great except zipperI purchased them to use for bone fishing in the Bahamas. I found that I had to buy two sizes larger. They were comfortable and worked very well except for the zippers. The sand would get the zippers stuck so I could not unzip them. I had to flush them with fresh water after I got my foot out of the boot. This the first Simms product that I've had a problem with. I contacted Simms and did not get a good solution.
Great boots for the flatsI bought these boots about 3 weeks ago and these are the best I have used by far. Here in Grand Cayman I spend most of my time wading for bonefish. The bottom can range from sand, mud, grass or urchin filled limestone bottom. These boots handle it all. Easy on,easy off and a breeze to clean up and let dry. Great boot.
Simms nailed it on this one.
best river wading shoe everTried them in the summer in Potomac and Shenandoah rivers for wading. Worked well in the mud and rocks. No rocks get in. Comfortable in hot, humid weather. Good foot protection.
Life a FootFit well with some arch support. I use them on the Gulf coast of North Florida. I can wear them in my sea kayak and get out and wade fish. Try it.
Excellent Florida Wading BootieMy review after 3 months of use wading inshore in SW FL.
Common Bottom Conditions:
- Loose Shell
- Sticky Mud
- Lime Stone
- Edges of Oyster Bars
Most trips inshore here in Pine Island Sound require sometime in the water. Chasing redfish and snook deep in the back country sticks your feet into a variety of conditions. The Zipit Bootie II have done a great job keeping my feet safe and keeping shells and debris out. Very comfortable for extended wear and reasonably cool in Florida heat. (I will normally unzip them when running from spot to spot).
From the ankle up, the bootie is a nice, tight fit. It's great for staying on your foot in nasty mud and keeping shells rocks out at the same time.
I try my best to avoid walking through oyster bars, as these little grey razor blades will chop up any shoe, but with careful exposure, the exterior doesn't show any tears or rips.
Highly recommended for Florida wading.
Great productI recently bought these for surf fishing in Central CA (and wherever else I fish these next few years) - they are fantastic. Comfy for my flat feet and very lightweight - exactly what I was looking for.
