"I've always leaned towards the G3 line and the updated 2026 is no different for me. Perfect cut, stream-line design, just enough storage and is bomb proof for us in a sometimes snotty saltwater surf enviroment."

What makes waterproof, breathable fabrics like GORE-TEX® or Toray® so unique is the porosity of the fabric - keeping the elements out while letting moisture that builds-up beneath the fabric escape. Regular washing will maintain your gear's original properties.
* Waders and rain gear should be dried after each use, both inside and out. Simms understands that certain situations do not allow for time to fully dry between uses. It is the expectation that this circumstance will contribute to a potential shorter lifespan.
* Breathable fabrics are porous in nature and can collect dirt, oils from the skin and other environmental substances. Regular cleaning of waders is a key contributor to their lifespan.
* Depending on the amount of days used, annual, bi-annual or tri-annual washing is recommended.
* Exposure to salt water or salt air requires special care: The waders must be rinsed thoroughly with fresh water and dried after each use.
* Most waterproof, breathable gear can be machine washed - please refer to the care instructions on the label for full details.
* Ask your Simms retailer for recomendations on re-treating for waterproofness: Typically they carry re-waterproofing treatments like NikWax.

"I've always leaned towards the G3 line and the updated 2026 is no different for me. Perfect cut, stream-line design, just enough storage and is bomb proof for us in a sometimes snotty saltwater surf enviroment."

"Love the versatility of this jacket, good storage, good pockets, has never failed me in any condition. I don't particularly like the cuff design, the velcro strapped "under" cuff is great, but then there is the jacket cuff that hangs down and is always wet and in the way. I would upscale to the G4 just to get away from this annoying cuff design."
— Trevor L. (4/5)
"The Wading Jacket has NO section to attach nippers, forceps, etc. the two patches are for attaching fly patches, not tools. The chest pockets are far too shallow to put anything substantial in them. The side pockets are too far away for easy access. Basically, the jacket looks great, but is of no use for the practical needs of any angler. Bill O’Connell"

"The hood actually fits your head and with cinch down the hood actually stay’s on your head imagine that great feature cinch down Velcro cuffs keep water out and body heat in any situation two deep fly box pouches with zippered entry allow for a large storage area I got mine with the fluorescent orange trim for high vis safety great cinch down waste system helps with keeping warmth in weather out great jacket I would highly recommended this wading jacket to anyone."
— Paul O. (5/5)
"Looks well made sleeves run a little long for large"
— Captain D. (4/5)
"This wading jacket kept me dry during a storm that lasted several days."
— Greg P. (5/5)
"Great jacket, fit is great, I upsize to layer under it. Quality is what I expect from Simms"
— Paul J. (5/5)
"Just purchased so not a lot of fishing time with it but it appears well built which you would expect from Simms. I fished in a steady rain all day and stayed dry and comfortable. Seems to breathe very well. Non insulated so you'll need to size it appropriately to add additional layers for colder days. I found the sizing to be in line with their published charts. One suggestion to make this a better jacket is to add a zip out liner which would provide for multi season use"
— Forrest S. (5/5)
"Top notch as usual! Simms quality what else needs to be said. . . . ."
— Troy C. (5/5)
"Light, comfortable and still dry!"
