The Simms Lifetime Guarantee

We don’t believe warranties should be measured by a calendar. We believe they should be measured by whether a product delivered the performance it was designed to provide.

If you are not completely satisfied with how your Simms product performs, or if it fails because of a defect in materials or workmanship, let us know. We’ll inspect it and determine the right solution—whether that means repairing it, replacing it, or finding another fair way to make it right.

Manufacturing defects within the product’s practical lifespan.

We’ll repair the product. If it cannot be repaired, we’ll replace it with the same or a comparable product when available. If neither option is possible, we’ll work with you to find a fair solution.

Normal wear or accidental damage.

Hard use leaves a mark. Normal wear, accidents, and damage caused by use are not covered by our Lifetime Guarantee, but the product may still be repairable. When a paid repair is available, service starts at $60. We’ll confirm the cost before completing the work.

Products that cannot be repaired.

Some products reach a point where an effective, durable repair is no longer possible. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know and explain the available options.

Expect a 4–6 week turnaround for most repairs, depending on season and part availability.

To get started, submit your claim through our Warranty & Repair Form via the link above. For full policy details review the FAQ below. To help prevent issues, extend the life of your gear, and make sure your gear remains repairable, visit our Wader & Gear Care Center .

Guarantee Details

Technical fishing gear isn’t designed to last forever. It is designed to withstand years of hard use.

WHAT “PRACTICAL LIFESPAN” MEANS

A product’s practical lifespan is the period during which it can reasonably be expected to deliver its intended performance. Because no two anglers use their gear the same way, we evaluate every claim individually.

We consider:

  • The product’s age and overall condition
  • How often and how hard it was used
The conditions and environments in which it was used
  • Proper fit, care, cleaning, and storage
The natural wear and aging of technical materials

“Lifetime” refers to the practical lifespan of the product—not the lifetime of its owner.

What's Covered?

The Simms Lifetime Guarantee covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur during the product’s practical lifespan.

Every product and every failure is different. We inspect submitted gear to determine what caused the problem and whether it is covered by the Simms guarantee.

WHAT’S NOT COVERED, BUT MAY BE REPAIRABLE?

Our Lifetime Guarantee does not cover:

  • Normal wear and the natural aging of materials
  • Cuts, burns, tears, punctures or accidental damage
  • Abrasion or damage caused by repeated friction or contact with rough surfaces
  • Damage caused by misuse, improper fit or use outside the product’s intended purpose
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning, drying, treatment or storage
  • Cosmetic wear that does not affect product performance
  • Damage caused by improper repairs, modifications, or incompatible accessories

These issues may still be eligible for paid repair. Repair availability depends on the product, the damage, and whether we can complete an effective, durable repair.
Not sure what caused the problem? Send it in. We’ll take a look.
