"Great chest pack. It was a little larger than I thought it would be, but fits perfectly. This pack is nice for warmer weather fishing, as it also holds a Camelback 50 ounce bladder. Not sure if I need a bear spray holder, aside from a stray dog attack."

Headwaters Chest pack
"Best chest pack I have ever owned! I fish some tournaments where tough competition is apparent. In the spring, summer and early fall months seem to need more than a 20 oz. bottle of water for the morning/day. This fine pack will hold a Cenote HydraPak 2 liter water bladder! I drink a lot of water and I should have water still at 1:PM. So great job Simms! Cary all my fly boxes (5) tools and leaders. Love the magnetic closure pocket! I have a mag puk that fits perfectly and have easy access to protect my Simms Pro nippers as well on a lanyard. Could add a loop of some kind on one side to attach tippet holder. Currently use zipper pull so spools hang down out of my way."

"All the above works very well"
Head water, chest pack
"It was very bulky upfront wish it could be a little lower, a little too high up on the chest"
Second rod pocket
"I would like to have a mesh pocket on back to place a 4 piece rod"
Headwater pack

Lots of room for a day of fly fishing
"Perfect replacement for my old vest. Light and well organized front and back pockets, net holder and holds 6 fly boxes plus tippet spools and a light raincoat."
Chest pack
"Nice pack. Well made with plenty of room for gear."
STOWS LOTS OF GEAR
"I own both the Tributary and this chest pack. I love the Tributary for outings when I'm not going far or am out for just a few hours. The Headwaters definately ups the game when it comes to capacity. It holds all the boxes I need for an extended trip. In addition to all the room up front, I really like the storage on the back side. It straps down nice and doesn't flop around when I stumbling over the boulders that want to take me down in a strong current. Because of the size it was awfully warm on a hot day, but it's hard to get away from regardless of whether you are wearing a sling pack, chest pack, or backpack. I read one review that mentioned the straps being too wide and slipping off the shoulders. I had no problems with that at all. I would say I have pretty average width shoulders. I would definitely recommend for a full day on the river."
