Still The Best
"These have been my go to wader for many years now. The multiple layers of gore tex are bombproof and the zipper makes the task of climbing in and out every day an afterthought. I’ll run 50-70 days in the winter and another 50-60 between October and November every year and they’ll go 2-3 complete guide years. Nothing lasts forever but at least 200 days of Guiding before I notice any leaks at all is a great wader in my book. I take care of my stuff off the water but I’m also pretty hard on it while working. Every pair still made in MT. For me it’s the only wader I trust."
New improvements
"I’m not sure what I think about the new mods to the g4z’s. Let’s start with the material, they seem lighter, like it’s not as thick and heavy fabric. Nice on hot days concerning about overall durability. Next let’s talk about the belt loop position change, the loops closer to the zipper are nice but I think you should have added one in the center of the back because it tends to fall down because I have my Leatherman and things like that on my belt. The zippers on the inside chest pockets don’t seem to stay closed very well but they reseal nicely when you cycle the zipper so I like that. I also appreciate the additional pockets on the other side. The tapering in the leg seems tighter than my previous pairs but I am not positive that I have the same size, I lost some bulk since my first pair and so my second pair was a little bit bigger than I wanted so my third pair I used the sizing tool online and I think I went with the bigger shoe size than recommended and I didn’t do that this last time but these are too tight on my feet. The last thing that I have noticed is the lack of boot cuff clip on the cuff it seems to stay put so far of but on my duck hunts I can see that being a problem because of the marsh grass I have to wade through. Overall I still love them I just want to give you honest feedback."

"In my profession, there is no room for being wet and cold. I live and work in SE Alaska where we measure rainfall in feet rather than inches, and the Simms G4Z waders are a must have!"
